I haven’t been there myself since the rains because I’ve been running Palm Canyon most weekends. But I heard a report that it’s open and in good condition.
Spring and summer, rattle snakes are common in this area. I see one in about every ten rides in this park. That said, look at the trail from a satellite view to understand how it gets its name.
Digging your channel, it's nice to see descriptions of local trails.
Jon Browning thanks! I’ll do more!
ditto, your descriptions are better than trailforks
I like the rock segment at the end. So much fun to ride it. BTW, you just got a new subscriber! Enjoy riding and be safe bro!
That section "rocks!" Sorry, I'll let myself out.
I like that you mention the bigger bike. I just went from a Trek Fuel to a Trek Slash and it makes the chunk seem so much easier
For sure. I tend to prefer being "overbiked," although I don't think of it that way. It's just "right-biked" to me.

Thanks for the vid on rattlesnake. Do you know if it is doing ok after the rain?

They leave you alone if you leave them alone. It's pretty cool to see one when hiking out there. They can be big!!
