    Useful video! I’d thought about going back to Faro, in February, to see what the winter would be like. I only had 1/2 day-night and a ride to the airport in June. Then my friend who lives in Portimão told me, I should go to Loulé for Carnival. I then decided not to do next February. Now, you’re causing me to want to go for next February. Hehe!

      February.... brrrr. Cold and rainy, those poor naked girls on the carnival procession.

      @@AlgarveAddicts let’s see which location is more rainy and cold, California or mid-southern Portugal. 😁

    Excellent video! A nice historical perspective also. Wife & I spent a couple of days in Loule, spring of last year. It was probably our favorite town in the Algarve. We loved the market and strolling the town. We had a pleasant stay at the Loule Jardim Hotel. We will definitely be back. Thanks.

    I just watched this video and the other video you did on your neighborhood Sao Brás both are very informative as I’ve spent little time in the hills above the beach there in Algarve. I’m gonna give you guys a call because I’d like to explore real estate opportunities in these areas, but I haven’t made my mind yet exactly where I want to live in the Algarve. Thanks again.

    I remember going to Loule years ago and parking my rented car far from the market and I was absolutely paranoid that I would forget where the car was parked and then who would I ask about where my rented car was parked? I didn't forget where it was parked but your comments about parking brought it all back to me.

    Well done Nick..Indeed, wish I were back in Europe...lived in Comillas, Cantabria, Spain for a few years while working contract for the United Nations after 20 years with US military. I know the Algarve well and would be my first choice to relocate..now in Florida. Live well and all the best/Randall, Melbourne, Florida

      Is this the Randall that has his own history channel here on TH-cam? I watch your program also because I’m a history buff and I would totally trust your recommendation that this would be the first place you would wanna live in Europe. Currently live in Lisbon I’m a legal resident, but I’m considering a moveto Algarve.

    When I see rentals in Loulé they show Vilamoura which isn’t what I’m looking for. I visited Loulé and I loved it. I’d live there if I could. I’m in central Portugal which has helped me develop my Portuguese. Loulé seems ideal to continue my progress, or isn’t it as Portuguese as I think?

    • @AlgarveAddicts
      @AlgarveAddicts  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's definitely not as Portuguese as central Portugal, but better than the coastal towns and resorts down here.

    Is there an alternate market in which to shop daily /weekly in loule that isnt so touristy ?

    • @AlgarveAddicts
      @AlgarveAddicts  ปีที่แล้ว

      No, I think Verity was referring to other towns like Almancil and Quarteira. It's only touristy because of the amount of people on Saturdays and the lack of parking.
