I went into the game blind and these two ended up together. When I saw how Laurent only acts like his mother, it made this pair make more sense. Also Miriel notices that Kellam basically has a super power.

If Kellam were created during Fates, I think his unique ability would be that enemy units wouldn't attack him on their turn. Or something to that effect. Maybe it wouldn't work if he was paired up with someone.
Well I don't think this would be good as he is an armored unit which was built to tank hits not avoid them, I think he would have a much higher chance to deflect hits in pair up much higher even because he is an invisible shield
Kellam has to be the buffest Knight in all of Ylisse. I mean, Jesus how much does that armor weigh you think? Plus shield and weapon. That's a lot of workout just to walk, much less fight in all that shit!
Actually, if you look at Kellam's 3D model when you reclass him and compare him side-by-side to another male character, like Lon'qu, he's quite scrawny looking. There is a reason why Sully calls him a "pip-squeak." It's not an insult without foundation. Kellam is actually a pretty small guy. His looking buff is just an illusion created by his armor, which he admits in many supports is several sizes too large for him.
It's Miriel. I think a lot of her S-supports feel kind of forced. But to be honest, Miriel and Kellam's S support feels a lot more natural. I paired up Miriel with Ricken in my first playthrough and I regret it.
Anyone else get the feeling that the S level support was... I dunno, forced? All the other support conversations were hilarious and kinda cute, but it seems like a huge leap from the way they're talking in the A level support to the S level...

S level supports are buns. I paired Donnel with Nowi and god dang it felt so rushed.
You have seen all of Miriel's supports right, this is the only one that's has more feels then the rest of her bombing S supports.
