She slayed! Really loved her performance, it was way better than the studio version and the music video.

I was BLOWN AWAY by her performance! I voted for her 4 times on the night. The public vote from the UK was 3 to Noa, but she won the 12 points from the rest of the world vote, first time in Eurovision history that the rest of the world vote was part of the contest!

You really moved me. I love the reactions of Americans so much, we Israelis have so much in common with you. Noa Kirel is the most successful pop singer in Israel and even before the Eurovision she started an international career so she has more songs in English that you should listen to. But.. her Hebrew songs are also great, even without understanding a word you will be blown away by her songs. Two days ago she released a new single called De Ja vu, I strongly recommend you to listen to the song and watch the video clip❤

    Love your reaction!❤
Hope you could react to more of her songs.. she’s really a great artist with tons of fantastic songs AND she’s only 22. You should check out “Pouch” and “Pantera” (these are in Hebrew). “Thought about that” is also amazing.

She just released a new song, it’s in Hebrew but it’s universally a bop- it’s called “deja vu” and it’s such a good club song

  • @TheUnstoppableBar

First of all, her family name is pronounced as “Kee-rell”, not “Kye-rell”. And also: Noa Kirel said in an interview to the Israeli press that the reason why she cried at the end, was because this was the end of her final performance in the Eurovision (she performed it at the semi-finals, then at the show that is specifically for the judges to vote, and then at the finals for the televote, not to mention the countless amounts of rehearsals). So she just felt that it’s a breath of air, that she’s finished doing her part, she’s given it her whole, and then everything that comes afterwards is beyond her control. It was that excitement of “I’ve done it. After so much hard work, I’ve done it.”

Noa had kidney failure as a child, which is why she is so petite. She took up dancing and performing as a way to strenghten her body and lungs, loved it so much she decided, at a young age, to become a professional performer. It's all hard work, dedication, maturity, and passion for excellence that makes her stand out! 🎉

Thank you, I love your reaction. I hope you will react to more songs from Noa, I'm just letting you know that her English Music is very different from her Hebrew music, many non-Israelis are surprised by that. She is working on her Israeli career at the same time as her work on an international album with Atlantic Records, and the music that she makes in Israel is very different from the music that she makes in the US. And it's weird because she does both simultaneously, but somehow she maintains her Israeli style when she's working in Israel. I feel like she's living a double life😅

While some of the lyrics to me don't go with the beginning of the song (the meaning changes at least for me), she is amazing live. I was shocked by her range as well. I heard the studio version first thinking she would be meh live, but she sounded just as good if not better.

So, interesting to find this channel on my feed, since it is far from my style of music I like. That said, so what is your favorite straight edge hardcore bands? Do you do a top 10 or something on hardcore bands?
My kid does like this style, and alan walker, fat rat stuff, he plays it on the piano at 14 yrs old. He didn't like 80s sxe bands I listen to.

"Unicorn" has also VERY meaningful lyrics! (This is my take as an Israeli, but as it is a work of art, it is open to different interpretations, so yours is valid as well! :))
Here are the main points to understand:
The song is about the relations between Israel (The "I" in the song) and those who perceive her wrongfully as their enemy (The "You").
To all her neighboring countries, Israel stated time and time again "We are not your enemy!" (In the song "No, I'm not your enemy")
Also, the fact that the Jewish ppl are originated from ancient Israel ("Do you want to check my DNA?"), and not a colonial foreign power, as falsely accused by its enemies.
As you may know, There is a vicious cycle of violence going on in our region for more than a century that we must break and change ("History caught in a loop, Don't you wanna change it?"), cause Israel is attacked time and time again ("If you're gonna do it, don't do it", ) and is forced to respond.
The music also contains elements of the Israeli national anthem - called "Hatikva" - The hope. One of the symbols of Unicorns is Hope and Success, and also strong healing powers.
Notice also the colors in the Music Video, they are very meaningful as well! The ceiling is all-red, she wears all-black (Symbols of violence and grief) and switches to colorful outfits when she sings the Unicorn parts from black & white - Those parts represent the hopeful and successful future ("That I won't look back, I won't look down, I'm going up").
The fact that it's all upside-down! (Not a normal reality) They are all very symbolic!
Hope all this helps to clarify the lyrics. 😊
