I couldn't tell for sure if he did or not, but I thought he should have had a single tear going down his face near the end, to show how emotionally touched he was by the performance.

Okay so, what I'm seeing here is a man who experienced isolation and loneliness for quite some time had met a beautiful girl he grew to love. They both loved each other and was even married a year later, living a happy life-- and that's when the conflict appears. Another man who had eyed the woman for years has finally come out of the shadows, trying to take her away from the other man. They had a dangerous quarrel, ending in a terrible tragedy in which the man's wife had been killed by the man who tried to take her away. The husband was grief-stricken, mourning his loss. For many years to come, he had come across that same isolation and loneliness, and had never found another significant other, living a life of sorrow and tragedy.

The performances are so good, I honestly forgot Mal wasn't dead in the sketch and was surprised when she got up again. How well they're able to act while reciting fact about mono is the main joke of this sketch, but it's also a testament to how excellent their acting skill actually are.
Everytime we think Mattory has died they bring back a small taste to torture us. 😭
