I love how everyone interperates these MV's differently. I saw it instead of BEING in the kids head, more like SKZ and all the other performers behind them were sending out this positive energy, this message of "don't worry about what people think or say, just ROCK" and that energy was being fed to the kids who overcame their stage fright and worries (hence the big scary groot fading away). Just my take though

basically the little kid at the beginning that they show, was experiencing Stage fright….and the little kids also represent stray kids when they were starting out in the group (I believe) but you can see the kids have their eyes closed during the performance throughout half of the video due to the “creatures” being in front of them in their face trying to scare them and give them anxiety….But towards the end of the song they finally are able to loosen up and perform without having that anxiety and fear.

just like how hyunjin mentioned the 'inside out' movie in their intro to this album, i believe that straykids r just a part of the kids brain from the prologue... or it could simply be their younger selves, where their older selves are looking back on the memories where they felt anxious and angry, but now like they said the chinese symbol meant was that they feel "pleasure" after. like they've finally made it through all the pain and can finally be free and happy- just my perspective though. i honestly love all of the songs on this album, they all are so unique. its such a good comeback!
The monsters represented the emotions that the kids were feeling during their performance, and basically each emotion was fighting against each other until Joy was the last one I believe. So this song is giving an example of just rocking it out and forget the other emotions.

Watching the trailer would complete the narrative of who the kids are and whats going on with the sets. Coz otherwise we have to understand the characters on the flags 😂 and goodness, so much going on but im so glad the song itself is cohesive so its less overwhelming
They are pirates underwater (sunken?). The 8 kids are the younger version of SKZ. The kids were having stage fright in front of the recital crowd. Cue the kids playing the musical instrument with their eyes closed. The kids imagined the watching crowd as monsters. The monsters are sea monsters from Japanese folklore, if I'm not mistaken. But them young kids managed to overcome their stage fright as they let their inner rock unleash!! In the end, a small window of the multiverse (SKZ megaverse) did a peekaboo to show SKZ the other dimension with the younger version of them.
How are you not annoyed by that cursor XD In the music video you can see the floating characters (Joy, anger, sadness and pleasure) All the scenes represent different emotion and once the scene is resolved the letter for that emotion will crumble until joy is left. The giants were representation of fear/state fright and SKZ won them. There is also many movie references and as per usual a message for stays. Their stuff is always so layered and cool. Had fun watching all your SKZ reaction! I'll stick around in hopes of more thehe.
