When I saw Samuro use Wind Walk and Mirror Images, I had a hard hit of nostalgia. When I heard the Warcraft 3 Orc music, I instantly played Warcraft 3 for the rest of the night.
Especially right now when the only support you (occasionally) see in QM is Malf and 5 support heroes are in the bottom top 10 by win percent. I believe Malf is the only support hero with a win percent above 50% as well. Ridiculous.
I might pick up Samuro just for that! Nothing would fill me with more pleasure in the game than baiting an Illidan hard like that. Almost as good as catching an Illidan hunting into an ambush.

The orcs have many assets with traditional Japanese culture though. If you actually look at the WC3 concept art for some of the faction stuff they were rice farmers and more. It makes sense to push him into the quasi-Japanese light.

Because strictly speaking, it does make sense why Blizzard would do this, plain marketing; if it sells, it sells. But at the cost of the lore and character depth. As said, the inspiration behind the original character in WC3 was comical in how obvious it was. Intentionally, of course. Just as the Pandaren Brewmaster was an easter egg, not meant to be entirely canonical. To make the blademaster a full-blown Japanese orc now is almost as unoriginal as whipping an whole expansion out of an easter egg.
Then he form the metal band The Tauren Chieftains, replacing the blade with a mike restoring the honor of the Burning blade with the power of Rock and form the new clan Burning Rock!

I'm a support main, but I am pretty hyped for Samuro and will definitely try him out! His alternate skins look amazing, and, more importantly, he's an orc. Meaning we can finally make a full Orc team (Thrall, Gul'Dan, Rexxar, Rehgar and Samuro) that looks kinda viable as well.
I laughed when he was messing around with Tracer and Kerrigan, also when that Chromie survived. I'd love to have Abathur to clone him and make more clones. 6 Blademasters seem over powered. To rival that what if Ally heroes can enter Nydus with Zagara?

Orcs used to have a hero class called "Blademaster" in early alpha of the original WoW, it's why you can find some old plate armours with weird stats like Agility.
funny how even in original WC3 as well as HotS, blademaster's design is based on samurai (even Samuro's name is too obvious), however both of his 2 main abilities are ninja skills: vanish and illusions :)))

Nessevi no he was one of thee most powerful besides rag, chen and KT. i mainly speak of multiplayer when you played online KT was powerful for the fact he could destroy forts with his ult and Chen was really good as a tanky AoE class as he is in HoTs. rags Lava spawns if left unchecked in a fight could overwhelml and the blademaster was extremely powerful at killing enemy heroes and specific units very fast which can change the tide in a fight.

The design on this hero is amazing, it has a pretty low skill floor but with his position exchanging ultimate and his level 20 talent he becomes one of the heroes with most skill ceiling in the game (probably in top 3 below vikings and murky i would say)
Grom was a Blademaster. Blademaster's aren't restricted by weapon despite their name, they have a mastery of all weapons. Blademaster's originate from the Burning Blade Clan but were utilized by the Horde/Legion and expanded upon after the fel had corrupted to the Horde.
To me, this is the most appealing hero they've ever released, and I've been playing/following HotS since early Alpha. It all depends on his numbers, but he seems incredibly powerful.

Alwayz He is strong against a Single Target but without Sustain he might struggle in Lane and he seems to be more like Zeratul which would mean he needs insane Numbers to be too strong and with the Melees of this Game being more or less well balanced right now i am confident he won´t be broken

Well it´s their Game so up for them to decide and it is a good Design. You can´t even tell if he is broken without knowing the Numbers and playtesting him, so why even comment?

It will be balanced in same manner as greymane is... very powerful, but with no sustain whatsoever. And Samuro is always meele range, which makes it lil bit more risky
people said Sylv was broken just with her kit. Same with Vikings. Cho'gal. Any especially unique character seems broken in the current meta, but that's how the game evolves. Don't be so hasty
Alwayz He is strong against a Single Target but without Sustain he might struggle in Lane and he seems to be more like Zeratul which would mean he needs insane Numbers to be too strong and with the Melees of this Game being more or less well balanced right now i am confident he won´t be broken
