@@bmw9129 Yo suelo volar mucho a Los Angeles, ultimamente hay mas opciones hacia alla, incluso tengo videos pero trate de volar con avianca, me dieron codigo de reserva y todo cuando llegue me dijeron que no tenia reserva, y que no habia manera de que me abordaran. Me toco quedarme hasta el siguiente dia, y pagar boleto arriba de $900 dolares para poder viajar y no perder el regreso. Es una lastima

Good that Avianca Colombia, one of the world's oldest airlines (beat by KLM by just a few months), is still healthy. Avianca Brazil (owned by the same Brazilian-Colombian group, but managed separately - and disastrously) is bankrupt, with the fleet much reduced and expected to stop flying at any moment.

On December 11, 2018, Avianca Brasil filed a petition for judicial recovery before the 1st Circuit Court of Bankruptcy and Judicial Recovery of São Paulo, aiming at renegotiating debts and avoiding the loss of other aircraft to credit companies. In early December 2018, Constitution Aircraft Leasing, BOC Aviation and other companies filed a lawsuit against Avianca Brasil demanding payment for 11 leased aircraft. Avianca Brasil, which had been accumulating losses in previous months, said in a note that everything was part of the negotiations, and denied rumors of a possible request for a judicial recovery. The decision of the judge prohibited the company to take flight with the aircrafts, that were the object of search and seizure. The following week, Avianca Brasil filed an application for judicial recovery at the 1st Bankruptcy and Judicial Recovery Court of São Paulo. In a statement, the company said that its operations would not be affected, although there was a threat of recovery of the aircraft by the creditors, a fact that would harm about 77 thousand passengers and would imply in the reduction of 30% of its fleet. In March 2019 Azul made a proposal to purchase part of Avianca's operations, including aircraft and landing and take-off rights. Avianca would be broken up into two parts as part of the company's judicial recovery plan. According to Avianca, part of its assets would be put up for auction, allowing other companies besides Azul to participate. [5] In early April, Latam and Gol also made offers. Avianca said that the judicial recovery plan, which was reviewed and analyzed by creditors, provided for the company's division into 7 operating areas to be auctioned. Gol informed that if it acquired one of the units, it would offer opportunity of hiring to the employees that worked there, but with new contracts of work. Around 20:00 on Thursday, April 4, a bailiff removed passengers and crew from Avianca flight 6173 from Brasilia bound for Congonhas. The aircraft had been pledged and one of the lenders demanded its recovery in court. Avianca was able to suspend the injunction at 9:30 pm, but the action had already been executed. The flight was rescheduled to 0:30 with landing diverted to Guarulhos. [7] [8] Avianca's recovery plan was approved by the creditors on the 8th, providing for an auction of the company's assets and the resumption of 15 aircraft by the leasing companies. [9] [10] From Saturday, April 13, Avianca began the cancellation of several flights through Brazil, due to the taking of its aircraft by the creditors. The FlightSim Boy right !!! A best wings an airplane has ....I took a same plane to the same destination and the same flight number AV 26 on Monday .....and I had to think what you are just thinking sir ......so flexible wings and Gentiles to the wind lift ......especially at the V1 and rotate ....woooooow never had the feeling I got when we lived the runway on the first meters or feet ...the turbulence are not the same as those we get aboard others planes ...it just an amazing airplane .....
