It’s funny because according to the author, Sae has no idea why rin is mad at him. He thinks that he’s just going through a phase and they’ll be cool after a little time.

@vaclavbastl500 It's odd cuz when I first read this in the manga, I immediately know it was Kunigami, and the manga has no color so it's even harder to tell than the anime. Plus, the anime and manga hinted Kunigami going to the wildcard so idk why most anime onlys were confused.

Notice how sae wasn't drawn with sweat for almost all of the match... so maybe we didn't see him play at his complete full potential in this game, he just played at the level of the players on the field.

i can say for sure as someone who never watched or played soccer, blue lock does have an intenseness that you get from playing a competitive sport and seeing them evolve and try so hard to accomplish getting better and getting their own goal, its hard not to get hyped and be on the edge of your seat wondering whats going to happen next. The translation of the manga I read I think said it better when Sae was talking about Rin's face, he said something like "You still have that old habit of letting your tongue hang out" which explains all the tongue stuff going on that doesn't really get addressed, lol. Yes, he is Kunigami, he survived from the wild card, but the anime skipped his match against Shidou and his entrance to to wild card

Lol this berserk state is Rin's true ego, but he had some thoughts that obstructed his true ego. All those thoughts about Sae, Isagi etc. gave him an impure version of his true ego.
His true ego is absolute destruction, he'll beat you at your best without hesitation. Where Sae is beautiful destruction that finds the weaknesses and succeeds via the path of the least resistance. Polar opposites between the two brothers.
Rin releasing his connections to Sae and Isagi is him finding back his core ego, the ego Sae saw in him as kids, which is why Sae was shocked.

The thing about Rin's irrational playstyle being so unlike what we've seen. When Sae returned, Rin said that he was playing as a replacemnt for Sae. When they were younger, Sae asked Rin what he was thinking ehen scoring, and Rin basically said that it wall intuition, inspiration, no reason
So the Rin we have been seeing in season 1 was basically Sae as a striker, and Rin isn't actually playing true to himself for now
What will happen to him later? We will have to see
