In the early 1970’s we lived in Chelsea Mich next door to the Daniels….his dad built our house. Very down to earth family. Thanks for being such great neighbors….I’m proud to have lived next door to you and happy for all your success!
I had the pleasure of seeing Jeff Daniels play with his daughter and family at the Philadelphia Folk Festival. His acting aside, which is measurable at least, the musicianship he and his family displays is admirable.
Jeff Daniels and Bill Murray are cut from the same mold. They are both "beloved" of their audiences. I adore them both. I just enjoy their work so much. It's like hearing two really great pickers trading licks. Just lovely.
@@Jen7867 Rumors?? No. He's been a huge problem for years and just settled a lawsuit for sociopathic harassment of a female co-star on set which resulted in the production being shut down. I don't know if it's because his old age is causing psychopathic episodes or what, but he's not hirable right now, there's no insurance company that will touch him.
My dad once welded a gate for Jeff at his house in Michigan, he didn't get a chance to met him, but he did met his wife Kathleen and said she was incredibly nice.
If you ever want to Meet Jeff Daniels, you can see him in person in Michigan. He's very personable. He lives near Chelsea, Michigan, and still operates The Purple Rose Theater. Very nice guy. He likes his privacy, but that's overcome by his niceness.

@@badbiker666 It’s been years since I’ve watched that movie but I remembered that line from the movie and cracking up, and so did the rest of my family when they watched it.🤣. Thanks for mentioning that movie. Have a great weekend ✋🏻
Love Jeff Daniels! And his character and performance in The Newsroom is right up there with the greatest characters/performances in television history!
Before watching this, I'm really intrigued by what the Mery-Streep-baseball analogy is gonna turn out to be. Confusing but it gets people all excited for seemingly no reason?

I love Jeff Daniels and I am so happy to see him again.
I saw him in concert with Lyle Lovett (Ann Arbor). No matter how many times you see him, you still can't figure him out.
Jeff Daniels makes that acting thing look so easy…he’s the G-O-A-T🥰🤗
Jeff Daniels is so great! The Meryl Streep story is proof that he's absolutely the real deal. As well as his remarkable career.
Jeff Daniels is a Michigan treasure. He loves his home state as much as I do.
I loved him in Newsroom!
Great series! Wish it had lasted longer than three seasons.
Jeff Daniels has a range far above most actors. Very under rated even though he is famous. One actor I would like to meet if conditions were right.
Everyone loves them some Jeff Daniels...Fellow Michigander (via California, via Peru, Via Hoosierlandia) now driving the potholes in Lansing
I live in Michigan also. Born and raised in
Congrats on getting out of Hoosierlandia, I've been stuck here for years and finally moving to Costa Rica in a few months 😎
Finest potholes in the nation. Well cultivated ones on my street in Old Town Lansing.
It’s Orange Cone season , not Spring in Oakland County. 😂
@@gaycramer2658 LOL we've got two roundabouts going in, in Allegan country right now.😂
The Newsroom is one of my favourite shows of all time and Jeff Daniels was just amazing in it.
My favorite performance of his was as Col. Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain. Moves me to tears every time.
I agree. I showed parts of that film to students studying the Civil War and they requested to rewatch those Chamberlain scenes more than any other.
My first time seeing Jeff was Terms of Endearment. He was a cad but terrific in that role.
Jeff Daniel's a principled man, a gentlemen.
Seems so
Thanks for bringing this AMAZING actor and human being...🙏🥰🙏

Bill Murray is known for being abusive and inappropriate.
Except there’s lots out there about Bill Murray being a jerk?
@katica04 Sadly, I have heard those rumors, too. Not about Jeff Daniels, though.

Stage and screen, a BRILLIANT actor!
He is an amazing actor and he was an eye candy when he was young!
Jeff Daniel is the Best! ❤
I've watch some of Jeff's films, but I never took him seriously until he started trashing trump, that's when he earned my respect.
You should hear the best soliloquy about the United States that was ever done. He's superb!
He won my respect when he came back to Michigan. Michiganders love you Jeff!
@@AndreaALenze for me when a dramatic actor can also do comedy that is when you prove you are good
@@anamariaguadayol2335 Yes. The Newsroom was stupendous.
He blew me away in “The Looming Tower”.
No mention of American Rust? Solid series! Season two is outstanding. Im in episode 3 of Godless. Another home run.
It was worth watching. Not great. You
Meryl Streep has been privy to Harvey Weinstein's vile activities for decades. There's no coming back from that.
My dad once welded a gate for Jeff at his house in Michigan, he didn't get a chance to met him, but he did met his wife Kathleen and said she was incredibly nice.
🤣 yes! Fly Away Home! Classic!
Jeff Daniels was amazing in Godless. I'm glad he talked about it.
Michigan loves you Jeff! You too Stephen, but 50 films ain't nuthin' to sneeze at!
I've been looking forward to a screen version of A Man in Full for a long time. One of my favorite Tom Wolfe books.
“I’m Teddy. The director of NASA.” My favorite line from ‘The Martian’.
JD. One great actor, great American and great man!

What a National Treasure Jeff Daniels is!
Jeff is a true gem!
Arachnophobia is still my favorite movie ever since I was a little kid. Fantastic actor
Great actor ❤
This was a great book. Looking forward to see this.
Saw him on broadway in News Room. excellent
"Have fun at the glue factory"
Jeff Daniels is so savage 😂
I did not get the joke....what does it refer to...

Jeff daniels is the best
I loved his performance in Something Wild
Rhapsody in Blue on a banjo, that's great.
The banjo was beautiful!
It’s an oft mocked instrument that is sadly underrated.
Bela Fleck does everything well, including Rhaspsody in Blue
Yeah, I cracked up at the glue factory joke. I'm a flawed human and I find "dark" humour amusing.
I also had a hearty laugh. I'm a perfect human with no flaws at all, therefore I also find dark humor the best.
IMO most under rated actor ever
Jeff is great!
Anything Jeff Daniels, I automatically press like. ❤❤❤❤❤
Love the silver hair fox 2:43
Legend
Jeff Daniels is an incredible actor... that said, poor Stephen must be exhausted with TWO WHOLE shows in a row! Better take tonight off! Here's an idea... run this as tonight's rerun!!
This guy can do it all.
He’s becoming one of americas greatest actors!
01:20 "Jack Daniels" lol. I had to take a double take on that. Also awesome classical piece intro for this man. Well done.
Jeff is such a great guy for what he has done for his industry - if you can, see a play of his company, the Purple Rose Theater in Chelsea, MI
WHAT A LEGEND.
this is my favorite shirt, we have so much in common. we have the same nemesis, jeff daniels
Always love his work. Did he glue his wrist back together?
That glue factory joke just ensured Kristi Noem likes Jeff Daniels.
The difference is, Jeff Daniels was joking, "Krusty Gnome" was not.
I love Jeff ❤️ 😍 💖
Loved him in "The Martian".
Damn. I don’t have Netflix. I would absolutely watch that.
it's $7
@@thinkforyourself828 Then I will assume you have no qualms about paying it for me. What a gem you are!
I saw him on Broadway in a play with James Gandolfini in God of Carnage. He was a stand out and brilliant 👏👏
I love to see Jeff in everything he does and has done, but for me it was "Dumb & Dumber" that sealed the deal. Currently watching "A Man In Full."
I love Jeff
Pleasantville
I just rewatched The Squid and the Whale last night!
I still love watching arachnophobia, John Goodman should have gotten a best supporting actor award.
I love horses and have ridden some in my life, but I would never get on a horse named Apollo!!
Lol, how I'd choose which to bet on at Chicago races: I'm going with "Electric Cat". He sounds fast

Michigan's Purple Rose Theatre l❤v's Mr.Daniels
And a damn fine musician. Listen to 'When My Fingers Find Your Strings' and 'Al Kaline' (That one is in the Baseball Hall of Fame).
He's Hollywood's best kept secret. He's as fascinating in real life as he is in his movies.
I'm here cos I couldn't find a Jeff Bridges interview 🤣
At the very beginning he said welcome back everyday!
Jeff was so funny. LMAO
arachnophobia, great movie! and john goodman played the pest control guy.
The best damn speech since Charlie Chaplin's about humanity and this country.
The best
Arachniphobia was a good one!
Oh man, he so should've said "be right back with Jeff Bridges"
He would've pissed himself laughing at that
The inference I draw from Jeff Daniels is that he is in acting for the craft and art of it, not for the celebrity.
He was in Kill a Mockingbird with Gregory Peck???
He did the play on Broadway & he was fabulous.

Jeff Daniels, welcome to the equine mind! They will not put up with with rider incompetence. And because of this independence, humans dislike them
Yes. I imagine Apollo has put up with a lot of actors who do not know horses. If the rider isn’t confident, the horse will do as he pleases.
