After five years of not being on my board where at work at a hill and ride from Open to close and then go to the mountains on my weekends I got the opportunity to work at a ski hill again and get about 140 days in I know some people do more but the love for the sport that I had just came rushing back on the first day!! much love
As a guy who decided to make his own press and try making a few fun shaped boards for me and my mates your series has always been an inspiration. Great to see another series started. I might even try an ABS base like you guys did ages ago for the sandboard episode.
Awesome! I love all these new boards shapes and myself have 3-4 boards that I choose between from day to day. I think the industry though is embracing this a little too much as a way to hopefully sell more cards to a dwindling numbers of participants. I think the main problem we have is the actual cost of going snowboarding and newbies thinking they need a whole quiver of boards is not going to help.
One can have a thousand dollars invested in board shapes. One can have many thousands invested in bicycles. One can also have many hundreds of thousands tied up in vehicles etc. etc. At the end of the day it comes down to the special formula of... "best bang for your buck". "Bang" being selective with regards to personal view and feeling of what makes one happy. AKA the smile to dollar ratio. If the dollar earned doesn't allow one to achieve enough smiles with which one feels satisfied with, said dollar has been inherently wasted.
for most enthusiasts, you ride what you can. i'm going to guess there's a lot of pros that started or even casual boarders that started on a board that either their brother gave them or they got from a yard sale. the passion isn't about the board.
Happy to see Signal heading in a new direction with the company and with this video series. A little surprised to see this showing up on the SignalSnowboard channel and not on Network A but if it means fresh new content on a more regular basis I think we are all for it!!
My quiver, since '82, has included some 80 boards. Glad the notion of a 'quiver' has finally found some 'new radness'. Carry on, but don't expect to catch up! "PSR"

+Jacob Pry I made one by gutting an electric long board. I moved all the electrics to the top in a waterproof housing then I cut two rectangular holes in the back of the board right behind the back binding and mounted 2 big RC snowmobile tracks from craigslist in the holes. The thing purrs. Ive gotten it up to 20 on a frozen parking lot. Acceleration is an issue though. I need more traction for the tracks
im getting a BTTF Hoverboard design snowboard made for me. apparantly hotpink edging isnt possible due to the graphic printing process? how did you get that lush green edge? :(
I think you should revisit this board idea, but rather then changing the tips and tail, you should change rails/ sides the length of the board, then you can alter the width and play with stiff/ soft variations. Just a thought
What materials do you recommend to build a snowboard? What kind of resins are you using? What kind of fiber? What's the core made out of? I'm very interested into making my own snowboard as a hobby.
+SignalSnowboard I have seen several videos where people took jet motors from hobby airplanes and stuff like that, and mounted them on bikes. It could be awesome if you did the same, but with a snowboard of cause ;) so you didn't had to skate or take of your board on those flat groomers, and could pick up more speed in the park.
I am an advanced snowboarder and my last board broke.😞 I've been looking at burtons and some ride and of coarse signal snowboards but I really want to know your guys impute. Why should I get from you? What board do you guys recommend? I like riding park and all around the mountain. And I like have a nice pop when doing a Olie. My budget is $400. Please help!!!! Thanks

Hey I just noticed that the board on the first day of test Riding is completely green on the bottom side while the board you built is black. Is there actually 2 of them? 😅

make a snowboard that has some sort of motor on it so it can go on flat ground. kinda like a track on the tail that can be moved up and down.
