As I get older, and my hearing starts to fail, I sometimes miss the noises from the surrounding area. When I review the recording, oh poop, how did I not hear that airplane? At least I saw the helicopter preparing to land across the lake. That granite outcropping also has some Native American grinding holes located on it.
