  • ⛱️ The sun is out, the tide is low and all of the dogs ready to make new friends and play on Del Mar Dog Beach in San Diego, California!
Enjoy the view of the playful pups and energetic dogs of all types as the mingle, run, swim, jump, chase, dig, bark, and play on the beautiful beaches of Southern California. Even better: You see it all from a "dog's eye level", our custom-built 4 Wheel Drive #RoverCam camera platform, which joins the packs of running dogs with a top speed of about 20 mph!
Dogs love to chase because it is an instinctual behavior that is rooted in their biology. Many dogs are descendants of wolves, who are hunters by nature. Chasing is a way for dogs to engage in natural predatory behavior, even if it is just for fun or play. The act of chasing can release endorphins in a dog's brain, which can make them feel happy and excited. Additionally, chasing can also be a form of exercise, which is essential for a dog's physical and mental well-being. However, it's important to note that not all dogs have the same level of chasing instincts and some might not enjoy chasing at all. It's also important to supervise your dog when they are chasing, especially if they are chasing other animals or people.
Play can have many benefits for dogs, including improving their mental well-being.
When dogs engage in play, they experience physical and mental stimulation, which can help to reduce stress and anxiety. Play can also provide an outlet for dogs to express their natural instincts and behaviors, such as chasing, fetching, and tugging. Playing with a dog can also strengthen the bond between the dog and its owner and increase trust and communication.
Additionally, playing with a dog can improve their cognitive functions and problem-solving skills, and keep them mentally sharp and active. Overall, play can provide dogs with a sense of enjoyment, fulfillment, and can be an important aspect of their overall well-being.

    🌴 LOCATION:
Dog Beach in Del Mar, California is a popular off-leash beach where dogs are allowed to run and play without a leash. It is located in North County San Diego and stretches from 29th Street to the north end of Solana Beach. The beach is open to dogs all year round, but during the summer season, lifeguards are present and dogs must be leashed. The beach is known for its cleanliness, friendly atmosphere and beautiful coastal views. Street parking north of the bridge requires payment and is very strictly enforcement, but parking south of bridge is free. There are portable restrooms and permanent volleyball courts on the beach.
