Nice review but did you read the instruction for laying and lighting the fire? I fear not. You need to load the stove the other way round and light from the top. A useful tip- a useful tip is to squirt a little alcohol hand sanitizer on the top of the fuel to make starting easier. Hope this helps. Kind regards from Wales uk.
A lid on the pot would (a) keep the flies out of the water and (b) bring the water to a boil a lot sooner. Just sayin'. Also, you placed the pot with the handle directly in the direction of the flames coming out of the stove. Upwind might avoid making the handle so hot.
Greetings from Nova Scotia Canada & I got the exact same stove & I frigging LOVE IT.... I don't use it a great deal amount of time but I still do & I'm assuming & hoping it last me my lifetime. Enjoy !! 💯👍👌
Like many products these are mass produced with a brand label you don't by the stove you buy the brand. Is one any better than the other. What is a life time warranty any way
is a top down burn like the Ohuhu its a gassifier stove , nice unit way over priced , i will stick to my Ohuhu ,butt great review don't get me wrong ,I love all these stoves . Can make your own screen and ad it to the bottom and use Wood pellets for a longer burn .Two cups with the lid on the pot
Thanks Steven for the input. We haven't actually tried the top down burn with the Ohuhu or the Solo Stove yet, but we will! I have another one I picked up, can't recall the brand right now, but will do a review on it too in the future. I do like the flexibility of the different stoves. In what circumstances do you use your Ohuhu?
@@campfiretrish9605 …Actually, I’m trying to cure myself of the box saving habit, and wondered if disposing of them had bought any regrets. But I really like the tinder use idea; get rid of them by putting them to good use! (They really ARE nice boxes!)
If you coat your pots with soap less clean up or layers of tinfoil wrapped pots . I dislike all the vis with the water boiltest .lets get cooking . lol

Thanks so much! We have changed our tactic and it does work so much better! Thanks for the tips!
Also, he packed it above the holes at the top, which will mean more smoke as the there can't be a secondary burn!
Damn you! 12:20 - this is when I startled to catch my iPad from falling off the table edge :D
Lol!

I noticed the same thing about the handle
Good catch, and yes a smart thing to remember.
I’ve been looking for something like this for when my power goes out. Thanks so much!
Glad I could help!
I use the Solo Stove Titan model and really like it.
Nice! I was totally jelly over the past week as I saw someone I think the Yukon and it looked amazing!
Never in my life I was watching water boiling with more attention. There was a bug trying to escape death by climbing on a floating sliver.
😃

@@campfiretrish9605 Awesome
Does anyone else save the boxes for storing the stoves? I have the three small models and so far keep them in the original boxes.
I don't think I have mine anymore, I think I used it for fire starter :). But it is a great idea!

I have Just a litle smaller version of solo stove campfire
What are your thoughts on it?

Thanks for tip! I am with you and want to get cooking too!
@@campfiretrish9605 To cool
Looks like too much wood to start with. I've seen other videos using much less "fuel". Flames dancing everywhere can't be safe.
Thanks for the thoughts!
When i boil water i use a lid on pans folks sheeesh how stupid are these guys put a camp kettle on it for a boil time might be surprised ha ha ha
Thanks for taking the time to watch the video and comment! Have a great day!
