The heat exchanger is not repairable a new is required I had to replaced two of them in my boat both engines heat exchangers failed weeks apart

The gauge is connected to the venting plug of the fresh water side of heat exchanger.

A question, how does it get reinstalled on the engine where you have the 1-1/2 plugs does the seal go on the posts first or on the motor and wiggle it through ?

Appreciate the video, once you remove the hoses and the clamps holding it onto the manifold does the exchanger just pull up out of the 2 large flange seals?

When possible... change your antifreeze. Just in case it mixed with the raw water.

It's worth testing prior to changing...just incase it's not the heat exchanger.
