Never knew how detailed all the puppets and masks were. They truly are works of art. I’ve seen this in person and have never forgotten it. I would love seeing it again.
I saw it in Denver in 2002!!! When the birds flew in over my head and the animals started down the aisles it was truly magic!! I still remember that feeling. I couldn't sit still. I was suddenly 10 again!
When I was about 5 years old, my dad took me and my sister to see this play and oh my god I want to go back and see it again. The play was amazing, I can't really remember much but as an adult, I would LOVE to see this play again.
My dream role is to play Scar in The Lion King! Would be “a dream come true” to be able to step into his fabulous costume and don the mask ❤ I won’t ever give up on this dream! Hopefully one day!
I was soooo lucky to get to see the lion king on broadway when I went to New York my graduating year of high school (2010) me best friend and I cried during the very first scene when the bird was flying over head as they sang. It was incredible honestly. A must see.
I have been blessed enough to see the show 17 times, including NYC and London on the West End. I will be seeing it again in December when I go back to NYC. I've also been fortunate enough to set it the audience with Garth Fagen watching. I fall in love with this show every time I see it. It is truly stunning 😍
It would be a dream come true for me to see The Lion King on Broadway. Its so far out of my reach financially, but I'll keep dreaming. It must be a truly magical experience. 🦁🐘🐆
This is beyond amazing. The idea of bringing The Lion King to the stage and that puppets construction is magical. You really forget there are actors behind them. I would love that Disney brings this show to Disney+ (to Latin America). Thank you for such an enjoyable information :=)
I would like it to se the original in London or on broadway. I have just seen the German version of the lion king in Hamburg, it was so amazing and I really loved it.
I got the chance to see The Lion King on Broadway when I was in London a few years back and it was absolutely stunning!! Such a captivating and magical experience❤
I had the pleasure of seeing this on broadway as a child twice and both times I was absolutely mesmerized by the beauty of it all. One of the most incredible and stunning productions of all time. This show furthered my love for theatre, culture and history. The melding that this show brought of those aspects shook me to my absolute core as a child. I'm now in college dual majoring in theatre and history and I hope to be a historical consultant/researcher for TV, film, and live performance as this show was sparked my fascination with this field in the first place. To see the care and dedication to the minute details in the costumes that many in the audience may not have the chance of seeing up close but still putting them in and honoring the culture with it's majesty and beauty is just amazing.
Anyone else getting Carole Baskin-y kinda vibes, but like an alternate dimension version of Carole Baskin who got into puppets instead of tigers and isn't a possibly murderous sociopath allegedly?

Saw the Lion King on Broadway and it was magical but I was surprised how small the stage was to what I've imagined
Anyone else want to see Lion King on Broadway so bad?

I saw it last month, loved it. Go see it!
I always loved that they didn’t try to hide the actors
The quality, talent, authenticity and art is unbelievably. So glad I saw this in the 90s. Need to see it again.
The Lion King was amazing. Those puppeteers, I think that's what these actors would be called, are so talented.
This brought actual happiness to my soul. Had no idea I wanted to see the lion king on Broadway but now I do!!!
This is the BEST show! Always makes me cry. Definitely one of the most magical show's I've seen.

Good for you. 2010 was also a good time for it as well.
Same! As soon as the lady playing Rafiki hit that big opening note, my face was drenched 😆

Saw it in germany! I think this is pretty much the same. I really loved it! Would absolutely go see it again! ^^
Went to the Palace Theatre Manchester a couple of days ago. Exactly the same puppets and backdrops
This is what the live action should have been.
Thank you to the CREW that makes it happen every day!
Loved it wow ❤️👍

It should be on Disneyplus like Hamilton
I love being IN this show
Awesome!!
No It’s amazing 🤩
It’s really cool
The prongs on mufasas mask are made with burnt peacock feathers that are derided and then bleached and sewn into those prongs
I never knew zazu was a complicated puppet to used
In the show there’s about 1,500 to 2,000 pieces used in the show
i'll see you soon on Broadway
Why Zazu the bird the only one that don’t have real feathers 😂
