- We got another level of musical talent in this one. The composition of coke studio songs in immaculate in general, but this one went even over that, what we got usually. Of course I loved the vocalists, but my favorite thing about the whole project was the quire. I even feel bad, not putting in the fabulous performance of the instrumentalists. Honoring god is the theme once again and I feel very pleased by the sound of this song. Thank you for the time.

This masterpiece was written in 13th century by a persian sufi poet Jalauddin Rumi. Later on translated in urdu. Its about the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

It is sargam( Sa, Ra, Ga, Ma, Pa, Ni, Sa)in Eastern or Indian classical music which in Spanish, Portuguese, French, Italian and Romanian), notes are named Do, Re, Mi, Fa, Sol, La, Si (or Ti) instead of C, D, E, F, G, A, B. This notation is called solfege in the United States.

I really enjoy how you're dissecting the songs. I've listened to all these coke studio songs countless times and still find something new when you point it out! Respect! The percussions are Tabla, Daf/Duff and Dholak (or Dhol if bigger in size) with one face for bass and the other for treble. If you've listened to the Pakistani band Junoon, you'd appreciate how they played rock with these percussions.

This song is in the praise of the Holy Prophet of Islam (Muhammad). The journey of the night or (Mairaj) is the annotation to an event when the Muhammad was accompanied by the Arch angel Gabriel to the 7 heavens and he travelled alone further as the angel itself was not or could not go further than that, to meet God. This makes human beings the most exalted of all creation of God from even the angels that God enabled and allowed a human to come and meet Him.

That night Prophet Muhammad was asecneded to skies, he was taken to skies with Gabriel and he took the prophet above 7th heaven at God's court, where Prophet Muhammad met God and got closer to Him than any other creation went before. God talked to him directly, He was then made a visit heaven and hell and he returned to his place in makkah in his room at the same night. The muslims believed that journey and referred to it as the higehst honour bestowed upon a human by Allah, the pagans didnt believe it.

The subtitles weren't there because it was not any language. Its combination of voices that also work as instruments you will see these in every Qawali.

Hi from the UK, really enjoying your reactions. You seen very sincere about trying to understand and learn about different musical genres and your knowledge is impressive. This is devotional music, it is about the Prophet Muhammad (Peace and Blessings be upon him) and makes reference to the Prohets Night Journey and Ascension to heaven which we Muslims believe in where he was taken by the Arch angel Gabriel to heaven and spoke directly to God (Gabriel is the same angel that visited all Prophets and Messengers and told the virgin Mary she will be giving birth to The Prophet Jesus too). It was on this journey the Prophet met many of the other Prophets such as Moses and was given the gift of the prayers which Muslims perform five times a day. The song praises the characteristics of the Prophet Muhammad and lofty station he has with God. All the best my friend.

This style of music is called Qawwali, with strong tabla percussions and usually spiritual Sufi themes, and a main singer with a choir of 'hum-nawa's or voice matchers. The choir is is actually one of the famous old Qawwal families
The part where there are no subtitles is like “do re mi fa so la” it’s a combination of notes. Thats why.
11:40, the most interesting thing about that night is, today the muslim science lovers assume that the prophet might have travelled through a blackhole that night as stephen hawking says that blackhole may leads to new worlds... the interesting thing is that, blackhole are dead stars, and the chapter where Quran spoke about night journey is named as Najam which means Star in english. So in that chapter Allah point towards the death of star that Prophet Muhammad indeed travelled that night, now we know that a dying star becomes a blackhole, and it was said 14 centuries earlier....isnt it amazing??

I would like to explain to you Islam in a nutshell. It’s one of the most misunderstood faiths of today, mainly due to propaganda.
The English word god comes from the Old English god, which itself is derived from the Proto-Germanic *ǥuđán.
Arabic-speakers of all Abrahamic faiths, including Christians and Jews, use the word "Allah", the earliest Semitic writings include the word Allah as the creator. The Aramaic word for "God" in the language of Assyrian Christians is ʼĔlāhā, or Alaha.
Allah is the creation of the Universe and beyond. Islam means “submission”. Submission to the Almighty who has no partners in association.
Islam started from the time of Adam and continues from the revelations sent by Moses and Jesus until Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon them all). Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was a seal to Prophethood and the final revelation was sent to him by the Almighty Allah - the Quran.
Allah sent down Prophets and Messengers to all nations over time ( including Adam, Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Jethro, Job, Ezekiel, Moses, Noah, Jesus and Muhammad - Peace be upon them all). The message was to teach the people Tawheed. The oneless of Allah ☝🏼 that he has no partners or idols in association that he is Alone.
Adam was the first man, he repented after eating from the forbidden tree. No man after him inherited a sin but the notion of repentance was introduced. Since man is imperfect.
Virgin Mary (Maryam in Arabic) the Mother of Jesus is known to be one of the best women to have walked this Earth. An entire chapter is dedicated to her in the Qur’an. Jesus was risen by Allah and didn’t die a humiliating death. He will return on the day of judgment.
Allah sent Prophets and revelations to every nation (Torah, Gospel, Pslams etc.) However the true books were changed and originals were unfounded.
Prophet Muhammad pbuh was born during a time where extreme idolatry was practiced across the entire Arabian peninsula. Allah sent a final Prophet and vowed to protect the FINAL revelation from Corruption. The Quran mentions all previous revelations (Pslams, Gospel, Torah) in truth. From the stories of the past from Adam to Noah, Moses and Jesus all mentioned in this book.
During these heightened times of ignorance, I advise anyone interested in a faith that is so badly translated due to the political climate to read the Quran in English. The English Translation from Muhsin Khan is well recommended.

I would also like to state an interesting fact, as to how Allah protects His final revelation Quran from corruption.... He shifted the Holy Scripture from material to hearts. So basically in Islam, in addition to written text, Quran is memorized by millions and millions of Muslims around the world and there is a huge reward for the one who memorizes Quran by heart (called a 'Hafiz' in Urdu). Similarly, each and every copy of Quran that is printed in the world is to be vetted by a renowned Scholar 'Hafiz'.
Allah Almighty Himself vowed to keep it safe. So you will never ever find a "Version" of Quran. Even in Germany, you can easily get hold of a copy of Quran, which will be 100% words of God and i.e peace, submission and righteousness.
