My local hobby shop closed after 36 years in business. (they are being forced out by another business next to them on the main drag) When I found out Prismacolor Lavender & Lilac were being discontinued, I went to see if they had any. I got two of each. AND looking at the rest of the pencils they had, I found 20 OLDER Prismacolor pencils in the mix. I found older Prismacolor pencils. I found 19 total of the following: Empire (no markings), Berol, and Sanford. Imagine my surprise! Sorry to see my local hobby shop to go.
Hi Jenny, I just bought 2 small sets of Prisma to try and the Botanical set is now updated so no more lavender. I did however find Lilac open stock on my nearby Michaels for less than $2 dollars. I did see that Lavender is only available on Michaels open stock but I will wait and get when I get more stuff online. Thanks for the video!
Joann’s did the same exact thing to me!! I ordered 12 of each back in late January (they said they had them in stock). Then they said they only had enough to partially fill my order and that I’d be getting 5 lavender and 7 lilac, so I was fine with that. But when I got them in the mail (also in 2 separate shipments), I got 12 magenta and 12 hot pink. I am going to see if I can return them, because those are actually two colors I hardly even use. 😕
I called and they gave me the money back. But i did find they changed the order online to list magenta and hot pink and in my email. The first time they gave me my money back the second they were like we’ll do this as a courtesy. I was like you sent me the wrong item. They were like it says right here hot pink. And I’m like yes because you changed it. 🤦♀️
@@JennysCrayonCollection Omg!! My original emails still say Lilac and Lavender, and I didn’t think about calling them! I know I definitely will not use them.

so I'm watching this a year after you posted this video (I am not following you) - do you think these colors will ever come back? OR have you (or anyone) had any success layering existing colors to approximate Lavender?
I was wondering if you know of another brand of colored pencils that carries the closest match to pc934 Lavender? Do you know of any recent sources? I just found out that they are discontinued. Lavender is a color I use a lot. Thanks!

I managed to grab a good handful from a Hobby Lobby. Like 5 of each color! Woohoo! (Never going to Hobby Lobby again though.)

Yes except they have a good excuse. Crayola just chose to get rid of dandelion. 😢

Amazons botanical come with hot pink as of a month ago, description said lavender. Blicks St. Louis had the set as of yesterday.

I don’t know.
Hot pink is the one they subbed for those two and they even replaced the ones in the tins with that color
Its not in the botanical its been replaced by the pink and i got mine from target

They had replacements that were pretty close for these.
