Sounds killer. I have the same exact amp. It has that Magic = glassy, chimey, Pristine Fender Blackface-clean. I love it. Exceeded my expectations. oNe LovE from NYC
Such a hard choice for me 🤦♂️. I LOVE the tones that come out of a Princeton. On the other hand I LOVE the clean room filling sound of a amp with 2 speakers rather than 1. I had a Twin Reverb that sounded absolutely magical clean but couldn’t turn it up and drive it ( without blowing the house up). For whatever reason I like the sound of 2 speakers over 1. But as you know the Prince and Deluxe are single speaker amps The 4 speaker Super Reverb would really float my boat but it too is WAY to loud if you drive it
Twins are the best. Give the audience some hearing aid and work some muscles in your arms so you can carry it around. I love the sound and use one in my bedroom. But that tele and Princeton are also hard to beat. 🌹👍
Install a Lar Mar master volume in the twin. 250KA dual gang pot + 2 x 1.8m resistors. About £12 of parts. You might also want to consider a 3 way negative feedback switch. Another £10 in parts.. For low volume stuff these Princetons can't be beat. They compress and sag beautifully.
Great playng man ...great inspiration. Is this the 65 Princeton Reverb Reissue, with the C10R Jensen speaker? Im just about to buy one. And also is that speaker already broken in?
Yeah the Gold is quite expensive, but it is a great speaker for the Princeton I have 2 in my old Super Reverb with 2 Eminence 1058’s - which are a great speaker too The Gold has a great “growl” to it, the bottom end has a nice thump, and doesn’t flub out It’ll definitely sound better - but yeah..it’s a lot of money The 1058’s are worth a look too There might be some other speakers like some of the eminence patriot ones that might be good too and a bit cheaper
@@adampringle have you had a chance to try any other speakers ; maybe an alnico Weber or an eminence allesandro speaker? I’m pretty surprised how good the gold sounds , it sounds like a mini two rock to my ear lol .
@@jfar3340 I had a fender super champ X2 10 inch combo that was like that ! I replaced the speaker thinking it was a bad speaker only to find the cabinet rattle was cabinet rattle not speaker damage 🤷♀️😂 but I sold that one for more than I paid and bought the limited edition blonde tolex with Ox blood grille super champ X2 combo and it didn't rattle or anything bad, in fact it sounded a bit better than the other one with speaker upgrade !
Wow, I could listen to this all day. Such a pleasant sound and fantastic playing!
That's it, I'm buying a Princeton!
Thanks for the video. Wonderful playing and tone.
I did too. Adam swung it. Fantastic sound
Great playing and tones here! Your thumb (plus that heavenly vibrato and reverb) reminds me of Pops Staples!
A match made in heaven! Tone is just outstanding.
Nothing like the tone and feeling of a tube amp..
excellent playing!
wow, just wow. I loved the tone and the playing. Thanks for sharing.
Masterful space and taste....kudos.
Tone for days!!
Well done sir!!
So sparkly and amazing beyond words!

Can you give some details on the Tele? Model, Pickups, and Tone Capacitor size. Sounds amazing!
Thanks 👍
It’s a 2009 made in Mexico,
I’ve upgraded the pickups with Fralin stock Tele set
That’s the only mod I’ve done
Cheers

It’s aCelestion gold. The Jensen is far from that good.
Did switching to the Celestion Gold speaker make a big enough difference to justify the cost?
Yeah the Gold is quite expensive, but it is a great speaker for the Princeton

Prelep ton😎
Sounds fantastic man. How does it fare on gigs?
Sounds awesome! Fantastic
tone and playing. Curious if you remember your settings and which speaker you're running? Any pedals? Thanks for the demo!
Thanks!
I had the treble and bass both at about 5
This amp has a Celestion Gold speaker in it (still 10”)
And no pedals, just turned the amp up 👍
@@adampringle yeah but after 5 on the volume the amp gets super loud and rattles

Where's the mic?
Straight into amp or pedals?
How much this amp cost these days ?
1.400 € (around 1.5k USD) about three months ago. Never happier with an amp.
nice amp
Pedals?
Great playing! Great tone!
Is that a PRRI or an authentic '65 PR?
Thanks!
It’s a reissue 👍
