Hey, I'm the guy who talked to you while you where filming this. It was my first time at this shop. You do a great job showcasing how great this place is!
Invaluable information. 18 yrs. ago at pet smart,Plattsburgh NY a cute little orange fish labeled as needing a 10g tank. It out grew that, out grew a 20g, out grew a 40g. Had to give it away after 11 yrs. It was a Parrot fish. I really loved that fish.
THANK YOU for making this video. Most people wind up with these fish because there's no one to tell them how big they get. The workers at the fish stores, especially the big box stores, usually don't say a word to the customer about the size and care of these fish. People just need to be educated. When I first got into the hobby I bought a black ghost knife fish. Nobody told me nothing about him. I bought him because he was so cool looking. I had him in a 55 gallon tank. Now he didn't grow that fast, but after about a year he was 12 or 13 inches long. He was only about 3 inches when I bought him. I might be a little off on my inches but it's been about 30 yrs ago. LOL. But I had to re-home him to someone who has a large pool pond after a year and a half. I definitely wouldn't have got him if I would have been told how big he would get. Back then we didn't have internet and cell phones. So now it's easy to do research on any fish before you buy them. And that's what we need to do. This is also why people dump these fish into ponds, lakes and rivers. And why Florida is now loosing a whole ecosystem to snakeheads. It's sad that it's happening, but it's people's faults more than it's the fish. Very tragic.
Hey mate a great start to the week down here with a video of you👍🙂. Some good info on the big fish there man some people just don't realise how big and how fast they can grow. But hey i think we've all been caught out this one before i know i have🤣😅. The pics of the Redtails are amazing just how huge they get🤯. Anyway cool video good onya mate👍👍🙂.

Great choices for monsters. I’m a red tail fan myself. But my love for nano fish keep me well grounded. I think I’ll stick with them. 😂 Great video as always! 🤟🏼🤙🏼
If i ever have the space for a redtailed I'm doing a tank for one. Because i love the size of them. Granted i also want a tank for a mbu puffer which needs just a big of a tank.

@@speedbump9299 I love it!!!
Very important to share such info Mel. Lack of info is partly to blame for the mass of invasive species that now occur in the US, particularly Florida
Yeah Fl is a Mecca for wild exotics🤙🏽💯
