If I'm honest this is one of the best response videos I've seen, great video mate. You owned some of the criticisms but also showed the reality of being a creator. Peak lockdown numbers were so ridiculous, plus your viewers get older. It's not realistic, no one can actually maintain 500M+ views a month in the gaming space, that's absolutely absurd.
Something to consider, getting 500 million views, even if it's just in one single month, is an accomplishment that only the smallest fraction of TH-camrs will ever achieve. Even with the perfect game, the perfect content, the perfect circumstances, and the perfect strategy, it's still unbelievable to manage 500m views in a month. TH-cam is a landscape of hills and valleys, and it's important to focus on the hills too.

Let’s be honest, the majority of us here are around 18-19 and used to watch jelly religiously as a teen and we come back every once in a while to see how he’s doing. Thank you jelly for all the memories you gave us as a child/teen, we may have outgrown your content but we still love you and thank you for all you’ve done for us!
I think you’d be surprised how many kids under 10 watch Jelly. And I think Jelly would too. It’s good clean fun, safe and predictable and I’m really pleased that Jelly has kept it that way.

This is probably the most down to earth response video ive seen. Its really rare to see someone so down to earth in the youtube space. It reminded me the reason i started watching jelly 5 years ago. Im currently 21 and as he said the content really isnt for me anymore. I still come back to check the old videos maybe watch some of the new ones but it just doesnt stick anymore. I feel like what would help is diving into something more mature and or complex. Such as story based games like GOW or the last of us, I find myself watching thoes types of series all the time over and over again because it is deeper and I personally don't get tired of good stories

Idk about that. For someone who supposedly does all his research, he got a lot of stuff wrong. Also, isn't part of doing research actually talking to the people involved with it? I know plenty of other TH-camrs who take the time to interview the people they're gonna talk about first, as well as people around them or attached to whatever story. I have been watching Jelly since 2018 when I was 12 years old. I have stopped around a year and a half ago but have jumped back in occasionally for some of the GTA videos. Jelly has always been special for me, I have always found his content so intriguing and entertaining. Even though there is a 92% decline Jelly is still bringing in a decent amount of views and I feel like as long as Jelly is happy doing whatever he is doing and making the videos that he like, then that is all that matters. Personally I would love to see more IRL vids and more in-depth talk from Jelly as it would be really amazing to be able to have a more mature connection with someone who I have watched daily for years. ❤❤❤
Good point on the content appeal. I think that's why Markiplier has stayed quite significant even as his viewer base aged, since he always bordered on the line of not family friendly but without crossing it significantly, allowing an appeal to both younger and older audiences.

The first ever video I watched of you was on Clash Royale (when that was a very big game) and after that day, you became my favourite youtuber and you still are to this day.

Used to watch Jelly soo much back in lockdown. Defo best and most consistent youtuber in those times. Cant blame him for running out of content, gaming just isnt innovating anymore. Still one of the best creators of all time.

I have been watching Jelly since 2018 when I was 12 years old. I have stopped around a year and a half ago but have jumped back in occasionally for some of the GTA videos. Jelly has always been special for me, I have always found his content so intriguing and entertaining. Even though there is a 92% decline Jelly is still bringing in a decent amount of views and I feel like as long as Jelly is happy doing whatever he is doing and making the videos that he like, then that is all that matters. Personally I would love to see more IRL vids and more in-depth talk from Jelly as it would be really amazing to be able to have a more mature connection with someone who I have watched daily for years. ❤❤❤

Good point on the content appeal. I think that's why Markiplier has stayed quite significant even as his viewer base aged, since he always bordered on the line of not family friendly but without crossing it significantly, allowing an appeal to both younger and older audiences.

i think the main reason he died was because at first he and his friends were just having fun and recording vids but then he started scripting shits alot more. I started watching him like when i was 10 or 11 and i stopped at 13 and i am 15. jelly was a huge part of my childhood

jelly will always be my childhood youtuber im 19 years old now and watching this and seeing jelly not beat around the bush and make excuses like other content creators honestly made me gain even more respect for him. Ive stayed subscribed to him even after the content changes. I loved my childhood playing gta and watching jelly play gta when i got off the game. 15 years later im still subscribed.
I grew up watching jelly and now I always go through phases where I binge his old vids and generally just checkup on him because he played a big part in my childhood
