Wow, can't tell you how much this made me smile, Warowl. I know you're not heavy into the competitive side of CS anymore, but it sure makes me nostalgic for some of your old content. Strat Talk will always be one of my favorite series that you did. Hoping we get a few owl visions in the next part ;) -Hrairoo53
I had a lot of fun with that one, although I do think that premise was something 3kliksphilip always had a better feel for, largely because his map-making experience allowed him to articulate exploits better. For me, Warowl's tutorials and Strat Talk series were always where he shined. Those series are where his goals of combining education, humor, and competitive gameplay shined the brightest.
To clarify what I meant, Warowl has specifically said that he doesn't follow the professional scene anymore and doesn't plan to make eSport-focused content a prominent part of his channel anymore. I'm sure he still enjoys it as a fan, and usually releases a few videos here and there (usually during the majors or US-based IEM events that he can attend), but if you remember what his channel was like when csgo first came out, he was casting every prominent match, he had mini podcasts where he'd discuss the pro scene, he'd break down pro tactics, etc. That's what I meant by competitive cs.
Hey, maybe someone said this before, but I don't think the blurry image of the camera is a fps problem, I think is a shutter problem. If you are recording at 30fps, you should set the shutter speed to 1/60, that way the image should stop being blurry.

i disagree. in my opinion the biggest win in go history was LG's on columbus 2016 cuz at the time counter strike scene on brazil was almost inexistent. it was great because they never gave up. they were the underdogs during their whole grind to the top and they did it. without a scene on their country and without the support they now have.
i still think this rivals it though, i think this Major was a close second overall but the best in my heart, but thats my subjective look as this entire subject is
Don't forget the comebacks against Liquid. I love warowl and his videos, but this one is pure hype and patriotism. It was a HUGE win, and probably the biggest finals of all majors and they deserved it a lot. But not the biggest win.
Thing is the LG core had been showing really strong form and had attained Legend status repeatedly already. C9 hadn't made playoffs of a major since Hiko was on the team. Add in the opponents faced by both teams in their major run. LG only had to beat teams ranked lower than them until the finals when they faced NaVi, but C9 had to beat 3 of the 4 teams ranked above them in bo3 in ascending order. C9 had a harder path to the finals and an 0-6 map record against their opponent in the final. LG were slight underdogs in the final but nowhere near as unfavored as C9. Almost no one even thought the final of this major would be as good of a match as it turned out to be. And as inspiring as LG's rise to the top was, C9's run was a much bigger underdog story, at least in my opinion
No, it's important from every standpoint. It's important from a pros standpoint, it's important from the viewer's standpoint, it was an important finale, it was a finale that produced tension, it was important from a regional standpoint, it was important from a competitive standpoint, and it's important for discussion. It's important from a professional standpoint because, an NA team had just taken a major tournament win, in like forever. This means that professional teams will have to prepare for taking on Cloud 9, the particular NA team that had taken achieved this win. It was an important finale because, well, there was a large audience, many top contenders, and a lot of prize money to be earned. It was tense because it was a double overtime. It was important from a regional standpoint because, as mentioned before, it was an actual important win for NA, since like forever. This means that it may inspire people that want to try and go to the next level, and it keeps America (A large significant World Region with a big fanbase), into the competitive scene (Because they're very nationalistic, and most of them only like to see their team win). It's important for discussion because . . . Well, we're talking about it right now, so it must be pretty darn important. Therefor, I do see how anyone can consider it the most important win in Counter-Strike History. Not to mention, this win was achieved by C9 (The Underdogs) fending off against the top 4 teams in the world. So, it's quite the tale as well. This tournament had been exciting, unpredictable, and a sensational topic.

This match was probably every thing you can want from a csgo final . I came in supporting faze but when the score went 15-11 i lowkey wanted a comeback from cloud9 , watching the clutches one after the other were just too good
+Rokeii Hably But that wasnt a major so it doesnt count but still for me is the best final , that VP vs SK on a B05 was.....WOW i am a VP fan and the fact that VP didnt do shit for month and then in Epicenter "BOOM" Faze out,Gambit out and G2 out AND then a battle of Titans VP vs SK on a B05 with all maps being close made it for me the best final of tournament But if we talk about majors the Astralis vs VP one in Eleague Atlanta 2017 was incredible , the best final final of a major for me
I was at the major, literally put my jacket on and stood up when it was 15-11 in the Grand Final. The place was going wild. Glad I got to experience it.
Warowl! Love your videos! I am so happy you made a video about this major I loved it and you talked about everything I loved about it. You have been a great inspiration to me over the years, I went from silver 3 to Master guardian 1 in a year just watching your videos! (And practicing my ass off). Keep going dude, waiting for the next video to come out :D
I think the addition of tarik to the roster is what made the difference in the end, he played splendidly well along with ska and automatic. Stewie was not on par though. The old c9 was still better overall imo but always choked. Glad they did it finally.
This win was so intensely satisfying because, if I remember correctly, this was shortly after the 0-16 choke by team liquid and North American CS was "always the brides maid and never the bride".
"The Biggest Win in NA Counter-Strike History" - that's the title that wouldn't we missleading :) Of course huge congratulations to C9, that goes beyond any doubt!!! :) ;)
Tbf, beating the best 4 teams in the world back-to-back as an underdog....then taking it into double overtime vs the best team in the world AND beating them as a "Shitty NA team"(being the first in history to do so) yeah...it is the best major in history.
+MTB Life Too be honest I think UK CS problem is the toxicity. I've yet to meet a UK player who don't turn toxic after just a few bad rounds (that include the UK friends I have from CS too). I've made it a rule for myself to not play faceit/MM with any UK player for that reason. :/
Luckyshot I see what you mean but I think they don't see it as we do I lived in th uk for a while and didn't understand their sense of humour but yeah I think they are quite abrasive players
+Me Don't know where you're from, but their humor seems normal too me... About the toxicity, I'm dumbfounded what could be the course, since it seems to be every player almost without exception. My current assumption is that it's culture based, since it have to be something affecting enough players for me to not have meet one with normal 'toxicity' levels in my time of playing.
Faze and C9 are both strong teams. I don't like the C9 players personally, not due to a lack of skill but due to their demeanor and the open aggressiveness of their fans, who don't make it about the team and sportsmanship but about "being American." (Their disrespectful booing of SK and the constant "USA!" chants made me throw up in my mouth.)
well tbh the usa thing is hypocritical considering how eu players always say the eu is better and that eu cs is better, and how na gold nova is eu silver.
Every single time an upset happens everyone runs to all of the excuses and gives no credit to the team that won, it's sickening. A team doesn't win a major just because the other team "wasn't playing like normal" or some shit like that. It was really scummy of SK to come out and say that it "didn't feel like a real major" and "for us isn't really a major." Just because you're down one of your players, doesn't mean you take it out on the major. They haven't had a solid 5 man team in a long time because they keep alternating players so it's their own fault. SK, way to take a players greatest moment of their lives away by saying "it wasn't a real major..." I agree G2 is inconsistent but they just flat out choked against C9. It should have been a sweep for them but C9 sweeped them by outplaying them. As for Faze... I agree that Karrigan DID choke a bit. It was the first major final for 8-9 (don't remember exactly) of the players and he just choked under the pressure. As for Niko, most of the tournament he had to take 1v1s against Autimatic and he just got outplayed and outsmarted on most of the engagements. Faze were simply outplayed. Cloud 9 deserved to win that major more than anyone because they adapted and outplayed every team they went against.
Fallen tweeted that before the major even started, and he congratulated every player from C9, also according to Stewie2K, he and SK are good friends. Keep crying here on TH-cam while players give 0 fucks to you.
Literally their whole team, especially Taco and Fallen, in interviews AT the major said stuff like, "this doesn't feel like a real major" "for us it doesn't really matter" all because the salty Brazilians didn't have things go their way with their 5th player, which is only their own fault. I don't give a fuck whether the players care about me or not, I just hate to see toxic players take it out on the major itself and downplay the whole thing in the height of someone else's career and ruin the best moment of their lives, just because they're being salty. Thorin made a whole video on how scummy SK were being and shamed them for doing so.
Zombie Hunter Thorin also said that C9 vs Faze would be the worst finals ever, that C9 was one of the most overrated team ever, and that NA were nowhere near the level of EU. Do you also agree withthat, or you are just a cherrypicker?
You can not describe my disappointment for that round 3 finals when I was watching live on Twitch. Not because I don’t like Cloud 9, but because I’m a FANatic, and after that, SK Gaming (because those were the first teams I heard of). After C9 beat SK, I was really hoping FaZe would shut them down. AND WTF DID I GET IN RETURN?!?! But really, Skadoodle beat FaZe with his teammates making a couple of plays here and there. But yeah, C9 deserved it (act like I said that reluctantly).
It was such a tense back and forth final match to top off a first Major win for an American team. Certainly the best Major I've seen in 4 years of following cs.
JC Little One of the best major finals of all times, won NA's first major championship, beat some of the top best teams in the world, including #'1 and 2, yeah. Don't get too triggered there bud
linkin krap Is English your 1st language? Legitimately asking because you may have missed that he was saying the the players were AT ONE POINT considered the best player in the world and that some of the teams were ONE OF the best teams of the world. So he wasn't saying they were the definitively the best currently.
MiqeloS because multiple people can be considered the best at something as time goes, especially in competitive scenes like csgo. It's not easy staying on top
Daniel Ospitia Then it shouldn't really matter to the current situation. As you wrote "It's not easy staying on top". Yes some players were considered the best in past, but not anymore. The current situation I don't think that majority of the players WarOwl mentioned were at their best. Some haven't been for quite some time meaning their skill level may be in decline. So is it really a good way to meassure something? From what I saw several of the past "best players" seemed way off compared to the past. While there were people on their teams that did better. Though C9 did really well and deserved to win imo. Btw I do understand why some people may make connections between present and past. I personally don't think it's a good idea if the people are still active but have fallen. Mainly because of the fact that they are not at the position that people try to compare with. If all of the players were at their best, we may have had seen a different outcome. Though it would be retarded to even think about. C9 played very well, had a few missteps but still got through.
Fleexie it does matter because these players are still good....other people just become better... that's why its not easy to stay on top...so yes it is a good way because these teams were filled with great skillful players
Daniel Ospitia Yet those players were not at their best which was when they were titled "best players" You can clearly see that some of them are far from as good as they used to be. They may still be good but if they are just good and not at their peak then I would still not do a comparisson. The only good way to compare in my opinion is through statistics from their prime. But is still not a good way tbh, as they may not have faced each other back then. Anyway it's just my opinions. It's just kinda undermining the prime of those old "best players". I know right now people are using it to praise C9 which is fair, they deserve it. It just happens at the cost of past. Some of these players were really beasts but now they are as you mentioned "good". (Again my opinions)

But that wasnt a major so it doesnt count but still for me is the best final , that VP vs SK on a B05 was.....WOW i am a VP fan and the fact that VP didnt do shit for month and then in Epicenter "BOOM" Faze out,Gambit out and G2 out AND then a battle of Titans VP vs SK on a B05 with all maps being close made it for me the best final of tournament
But if we talk about majors the Astralis vs VP one in Eleague Atlanta 2017 was incredible , the best final final of a major for me
Good video WarOwl. Looking forward to part 2..
Really hope part 2 is coming soon. :)
7:09 - 7:31 seems so lame without the commentary, the crowd and seeing some of the player's faces XD
I was 14 and new to the game at the time and thought “cloud nine cool name i think they’re gonna win” and i was right
Let’s be honest at least 1 14 year old said this for every team
4 months in, still waiting for part 2 :3
almost 3 years
@@matthiasfoo1217 yeah man, lmao. He never did it.
10:02
he want tha money
Hell4u14 - Gaming channel! Got to make that extra buck
Hell4u14 - Gaming channel! Lmao I remember you, I was a part of the Minecraft community before xD
A man's gotta do what he's gotta do
Hell4u14 - Gaming channel! Except that the video is demonetized
then. part 2 never came
NA actually didn´t win a major before? NA PROS
Jacket W no shit ???¿?
0:25 thanks for the powerpoint lol love ur stuff dood
Amazing video bro, was also cool seeing you at IEM Oakland 2017!
I think the addition of tarik to the roster is what made the difference in the end, he played splendidly well along with ska and automatic. Stewie was not on par though. The old c9 was still better overall imo but always choked. Glad they did it finally.
siditude78 R.I.P. MiBR Tarik
Not taking anything away from the win but its really shitty that SK has to play a quarter final and semi final with a like 4-5 hour gap.
Daniel Rickell if sk was rested choke9 would be crying af
Daniel Rickell sometimes that’s just the luck of the draw. Cant win em all
Are you kidding me? It's a fucking video game all they need to do is drink some Red Bull and they're fine
matthew smalling silverrrr
matthew smalling they are playing a major with strats and many mind reading and focus, not MM
I believe North American players will start to play CS:GO once again after this...
Damn straight!
*After I finish School and I get the Time
Been waiting for this!
This win was so intensely satisfying because, if I remember correctly, this was shortly after the 0-16 choke by team liquid and North American CS was "always the brides maid and never the bride".
Its the first win of NA, they aren’t the best yet
ClickClock he didnt say they were
Wut? Some people did
Wut? Yesterday’s stream was title NA CS, BEST CS and he literally says that in the first 4 seconds of the video...
ClickClock totaly forgot about that lol
Nobody:
Warowl: One of the best players of all time.
Howd they do it? Ez tarik was thinking youtube to whole time.
Give us part 2, please! I‘m pumped!
Great to see you so passionate! Love the vid :)
How many best Players are there lol
AiimedByBot around 38
This is how many times warowl said "the best player in the world"
↓
nice 10 min video not joking really nice 10 min vid
I didn't look at time, and it ended up at 9 min 58 seconds, so I was like... let's stretch it out another 3 seconds lol
TheWarOwl Smart man.
i once played a 4x overtime on faceit and we came out on top. it was amazing
took a shot everytime he said the best player in the world
Oolofmiester is the best booster ! XD
"The Biggest Win in NA Counter-Strike History" - that's the title that wouldn't we missleading :)
Of course huge congratulations to C9, that goes beyond any doubt!!! :) ;)
but its like the only win in NA counter-strike history so that's a given
Marox44 beat top teams in the world to win the major, plus NA never won before
Tbf, beating the best 4 teams in the world back-to-back as an underdog....then taking it into double overtime vs the best team in the world AND beating them as a "Shitty NA team"(being the first in history to do so) yeah...it is the best major in history.
I have heard "The best player in the world" at least 5 times in this video, and it wasn't about the same player.
You missed like half the words, idiot.
Nobody:
warowl trying to stretch the video to 10 min to get the ad revenue: 9:02
That stewie’s moment getting to overtime without the commentary was a unpleasant experience
wait a minute tarik is in game leader?
Mr Denial yes, I am
yes he is, he actually uses a brain outside of rank s apparently...
its weird cuz lot of pros criticize him and calls him peanut brain or turok XD
Can't wait for a decent UK team. :'(
i honstly would love to see one as well
Well with the faceit tournament maybe some of those people may come out of the woodwork
+MTB Life
Too be honest I think UK CS problem is the toxicity.
+Me
Don't know where you're from, but their humor seems normal too me... About the toxicity, I'm dumbfounded what could be the course, since it seems to be every player almost without exception. My current assumption is that it's culture based, since it have to be something affecting enough players for me to not have meet one with normal 'toxicity' levels in my time of playing.
Please do video of Cloud9 vs Faze clan | Finals (best of 3)
Player gets beaten by Cloud9
Warowl: Wouldn’t that make you
THE FORMER BEST PLAYER IN THE WORLD.
This was the best video in Warowl history...
Whos here in 2020 when astralis have just shut everyone down and cloud 9 doesnt even have the same roster?
You
@@ELSTINKO. You
Faze and C9 are both strong teams.
TheUnstableNutcase yeah, eu and sa fanbases are more toxic than that, soooooooooooooo
7:10 damn it was so much less intense without The commentary
I didn't realize that it was the biggest, until I saw 3 back-to-back massacre in major finals.
“you know we love you” *stares off into the corner
Yeah yeah, SK trashtalking about ELEAGUE Roster Locks, don't disrespect C9 wins.
NA Scrubs A HELL
Zombie Hunter Thorin also said that C9 vs Faze would be the worst finals ever, that C9 was one of the most overrated team ever, and that NA were nowhere near the level of EU. Do you also agree withthat, or you are just a cherrypicker?
Zombie Hunter FalleN said that because they just the legends status, to win it when they can play with boltz
Everyone played amazing, not just SKA
If you think skadoodle was that major of reason for their win you probably didn’t see the same major final I did
Who was the best player again?
Coldzera, is that even a question lol
69honor best awp is guardian followed by skadoodle then Kennys. I agree with simple
so happy to see another vid!!!
Great video can’t wait for part 2:the breakdown cometh
> Cloud9 wins a major
> Biggest win in CS History
Pick One...
JC Little
.....what?
+CZ PC
They played well of course but biggest win in CS History seriously?
It was such a tense back and forth final match to top off a first Major win for an American team.
Certainly the best Major I've seen in 4 years of following cs.
Both you filthy yuropoor.
JC Little One of the best major finals of all times, won NA's first major championship, beat some of the top best teams in the world, including #'1 and 2, yeah. Don't get too triggered there bud
According to warowl, every player and team he talked about is/are the best in the world.
excuse my grammar
linkin krap Is English your 1st language? Legitimately asking because you may have missed that he was saying the the players were AT ONE POINT considered the best player in the world and that some of the teams were ONE OF the best teams of the world. So he wasn't saying they were the definitively the best currently.
I did hear that
but everyone he talked about is at the top...
how to stretch a video on 10 minutes xD
november 2021...
still waiting for that part 2...
the very last song music used is: EarthBound OSV - File Select
How many best player in world are there? like.....
bboykenex but he said that like 10 times tbh
MiqeloS because multiple people can be considered the best at something as time goes, especially in competitive scenes like csgo. It's not easy staying on top
Daniel Ospitia
Then it shouldn't really matter to the current situation.
Daniel Ospitia
Yet those players were not at their best which was when they were titled "best players" You can clearly see that some of them are far from as good as they used to be.
