But how did your first duet come about? "By chance. We were looking for a singer inspired by voices like Barbra Streisand, Celine Dion, Whitney Houston. Beatrice suggested it to us from the impresario: she liked it on first listen. And so we sang together “We've Got Tonight” ». “We actually signed up as soloists. At the auditions they noticed that we were always together, husband and wife, and an artistic couple. So they asked us to try something new for The Voice: a duo. I'm 76 and the this is MY generation. It's Simon's loss that he has not initiated the Senior classes here in the US. Around the world, we are still here to say that as Seniors, we still have much to give in entertainment, but there are few venues that we are given. To John Leo, listening to your performance was like watching American Bandstand with Dick Clark. You may be in Holland, but you make me proud that our era of music is still available, albeit via TH-cam.To the people involved in giving us these moments, well done and hopes for further episodes. These collections of the Voice Senior often cast me back in remembrance, as many of these singers do classics that were contemporary for me. Like "Always on my Mind" which took me from Brenda Lee to Willie Nelson to Elvis....or Californication...or Lou Cocker. I guess it is a case of thanks for the memories!
