why in the gods name did you make a whole in the car where you put a screw to hold the white support, when just plug in the cable usb and let it hang .... dont ruing the car just to have android car play ...

I don't have it anymore. But it worked ! It really did. Did you try just pugging it in the USB? Do you have the aps installed on your phone?
Which apps? I have android auto installed and the carlinkit auto kit tools

Settings, connectivity, smart phone device list, enable your phone from there.

No screw, the white support is attached using double sided tape. The hole is for the wire to go through. Totally invisible!
