    Hi John, I like your video but it seemed to gloss over the main difference that I was hoping to learn about: key-switches for articulations. I own Session Horns and for the life of me, I can't find a way to assign key-switches to trigger different articulations such as Shake, Staccatissimo, grace notes etc. Yes I can assign ONE articulation to Velocity(hard press) and yet another to the pitch wheel such as a fall (slow or fast) but I can't key-switch my way through say a 4 bar section that maybe starts with staccatissimo, then goes to to long notes, throws in a grace note or two, then marcato and finally a rip. I would need to record separate bits on different tracks at different times to get all of these articulations in one 4 bar segment. (unless I am missing something major here) You did point out this feature on Sessions Horns Pro which is why I am going to upgrade, if only for this feature alone. Thanks again, you're a natural explainer and I enjoyed your comparison.

    I'm new to horns & brass. I'm curious as to why you always play your riffs in octaves. Why not just play one note at a time?

  • @spontaneousgroovincombusti2902
    @spontaneousgroovincombusti2902 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    John though I realize this is a quick overview, you missed a couple of major features. Both have 'Smart Voice Split,' under Voicing Assistant, which intelligently arranges the horns as they would typically be. Pro also offers a game changer- Smart Chord, which generates diatonic chords with the press of a single key- no chords needed! And those chords can be altered with the touch of another button: warmer, more dissonance, etc.

      They sound OK, at least in terms of articulations this is far cheaper than an arranger keyboard
      like Yamaha Tyros 5, Genos or Korg PA-5X.

      You got that right. I bought the Mojo Horns bundle based on all the glowing reviews and I'm extremely disappointed in the sound. I could've gotten better sounds from Session Horns Pro or any of the 8dio brass libraries (Studio Sax Trio is the real deal) for far less money.
