Hey there, I have been trading for about a few months now and just about every trade slaps me in my face. Nearly impossible for me to catch more than a few points . I try to do top down analysis and MTF analysis, but it doesn't work for me . I have a 3 fund portfolio consisting of 33% S&P, 33% Total stock, and 33% international. I feel a need to focus on complete growth so I went 100% stocks, but does the SP500 and TSM overlap too much to make sense holding both? However I’ve been in the red for a month now. Whenever there is change of character (CHoCH), is it compulsory that price must retest and go above the level of that CHoCH or can it also retest and cause a CHoCH in the former direction again?. I refer to USDCHF, H1 chart at trade time 2023.10.11 19:00 at price level 0.90462 where where CHoCH occurs upward and reversed at trade time 2023.10.12 20:00 at price level 0.90860 and reversed and formed double top but didn't go further up but continued downward and caused another CHoCH in the former downward direction at price level 0.89856 at trade time 2023.10.18 11:00. Sir, why this type of movement that deceived people and chopped their money? 2. Is it always good not to look at order flow but to wait for retest and breakout at every CHoCH before one buys or sell? 3. Does it mean that retest to 50%fibonacci level or even zero percent level is not a guarantee that trade will go in the direction where CHoCH occurs but may turn back and go the former direction (uptrend or downtrend)?. 4. In the light of the above question, plotting 200ema, 50ema on this USDCHF H1 chart, can one say that ema plus macd trading is better that CHoCH trading? Please help Sir. Thanks
In addition to the questions I asked a few minutes ago, I noticed sometimes that when there is CHoCH price does not retest and breakout but just continues in that same direction where CHoCH occurs, so when does one buy since CHoCH had happens, is it at the close of the candle that closed above the level where retest should have happened? I do the Ext. Structure in swing points, but my Int. Structure is not swings, I find that it is better to do every move up then down or move down then up. If you treat it like that, the CHoCH still appears way earlier and if you wait for the confirmation pullback afterwards, it can typically be a sniper entry and increase trading range. Edit: I will add, depending on your time frame like any other marking of market structure, depending on time frame also depends on entry, I strictly use the daily so I get all same levels but it is slower for me and I get into market less. I am still trying to learn the best way to use the Daily for all my levels (SL/SH/BOS/CHoCH/Fib/OB/FVG) and the 1HR for my internal structure (H/L/BOS/CHoCH) and Entry to make them even better with less drawdown.

I try to do top down analysis and MTF analysis, but it doesn't work for me . I say to myself, clearly I'm in the 90% that lose money, so I open a demo account, do my analysis, then take the opposite of what I would normally take(I know, it sounds stupid but I was desperate) and get the same result. I have a 3 fund portfolio consisting of 33% S&P, 33% Total stock, and 33% international. I feel a need to focus on complete growth so I went 100% stocks, but does the SP500 and TSM overlap too much to make sense holding both? However I’ve been in the red for a month now. I work hard for my money, so investing is making me a nervous sad wreck. I also keep seeing lot's of people testifying about how they make money investing in Stock, Forex and Crypto Trade(Bitcoin) and I wonder why I keep loosing. Can anyone help me out or at least advice me on what to do.
Even with the right technique and assets some investors would still make more than others. As an investor, you should've known that by now that nothing beats experience and that's final. Personally I had to reach out to a stock expert for guidance which is how I was able to grow my account close to $35k, withdraw my profit right before the correction and now I'm buying again.

Hi Sir, this is a well detailed, taught explanation, very clear indeed.I give kudos to you. However, I have a question as outlined below and I will refer to example(s).
1. Whenever there is change of character (CHoCH), is it compulsory that price must retest and go above the level of that CHoCH or can it also retest and cause a CHoCH in the former direction again?. I refer to USDCHF, H1 chart at trade time 2023.10.11 19:00 at price level 0.90462 where where CHoCH occurs upward and reversed at trade time 2023.10.12 20:00 at price level 0.90860 and reversed and formed double top but didn't go further up but continued downward and caused another CHoCH in the former downward direction at price level 0.89856 at trade time 2023.10.18 11:00. Sir, why this type of movement that deceived people and chopped their money?
2. Is it always good not to look at order flow but to wait for retest and breakout at every CHoCH before one buys or sell?
3. Does it mean that retest to 50%fibonacci level or even zero percent level is not a guarantee that trade will go in the direction where CHoCH occurs but may turn back and go the former direction (uptrend or downtrend)?.
4. In the light of the above question, plotting 200ema, 50ema on this USDCHF H1 chart, can one say that ema plus macd trading is better that CHoCH trading?

I do the Ext. Structure in swing points, but my Int. Structure is not swings, I find that it is better to do every move up then down or move down then up. If you treat it like that, the CHoCH still appears way earlier and if you wait for the confirmation pullback afterwards, it can typically be a sniper entry and increase trading range.
Edit: I will add, depending on your time frame like any other marking of market structure, depending on time frame also depends on entry, I strictly use the daily so I get all same levels but it is slower for me and I get into market less. I am still trying to learn the best way to use the Daily for all my levels (SL/SH/BOS/CHoCH/Fib/OB/FVG) and the 1HR for my internal structure (H/L/BOS/CHoCH) and Entry to make them even better with less drawdown.
