lionheartx10 hey bud, I have a suggestion for another campaign you could do in the future. I’m a real fan of the Rise of the Samurai campaign on Shogun 2 and there are not really many playthroughs regarding this campaign. If you could do a ROTS campaign, maybe even with a darthmod activated, I’d be enthralled bruh. Keep up the vids and always enjoying your content. Cheers.

Assuming Darthmod hasn't changed anything, the quality of fertility in farmland provides a better multiplier for the economic output from the farm. i.e upgrade the very fertile farms first to get the best boost to early game economy.

Well, it appears that anger and aggression have led to the dead side for the Yodo. Nice job fighting that town defense and bleeding the invaders dry. Like you said, now is the time to finish them off (giving your noble allies the honor of leading the attack, of course) and then push for a counterattack before the Yodo can recover.
I'm no expert at all in fact I never played a total war game but I think it would be a good idea to conquer the lands below your territory so that not all of your settlements are that vulnerable
I was wondering where I should start with these and I guess the easiest point would at the very top. SO here is what I could find out about Emperor Komei, the emperor of Japan when the campaign starts.
Born in July of 1831 Komei was born under the name of Osahito, he would ascend to the imperial throne in March of 1846 and become the 121st Emperor of Japan. Most of the early years of his reign were uneventful because the Tokugawa shogunate effectively had all the authority in the Japanese government. That all started to change in 1853 when Commodore Matthew Perry of the United States arrived in Japan and forced them to open up trade with the United States. As subsequent deals started to favor the Western powers more the Emperor was able to slowly take back some of the authority and power that his ancestors lost during the centuries of Tokugawa control. This radical shift continued in 1863 when the Shogun traveled from Edo ( For anyone unaware Edo would eventually become Tokyo) to the capital of Kyoto. This marked a huge public shift in that it showed now that the Shogun had less authority and control than the Emperor. Also around this time Emperor was forced to make numerous deals with Great Britain, France, the Netherlands, Russia, and many other foreign powers.
This all started to change when Emperor Komei issued the "order to expel barbarians". While the Shogunate had no intention of following through with the imperial command it started to stir up a lot of anti-foreigner sentiment that was already building in the country. Numerous attacks against Shogunate forces and foreign traders started happening throughout the country. The most infamous of these incidents being the murder of British trader Charles Lennox Richardson ( shown in the campaign cinematic in the beginning) to which the Tokugawa had to pay the equivalent of 100,000 British pounds.
Unfortunately Emperor Komei died in 1867 of smallpox. Although some theorize that he could've been assassinated though there is no evidence to back it up. After Komei's death his 14 year old son became emperor and was renamed Emperor Meiji. Definitely an interesting person who managed to change Japanese society after 3 centuries ( although the Tokugawa shogunate also helped and partially caused its own downfall). It just stinks that what he started and continued by his son caused most of the samurai to be killed off and for it to become non-existent anymore.
To be fair the samurai class was already on the decline anyway. 200 years of peace meant there were a lot of professional soldiers out of the job and thanks to tokugawa policies restricting movement from class to class they were stuck In their positions unable to find better work. (Though some did move into government positions)

Quick comment on the fertility of farmland. It isn't a town growth thing, but a base income thing. If you compare that very fertile farmland with another, especially "Meager" fertility or something like that, you'll see that, at higher levels, the high fertility farms give substantially more income. Compare the higher tier buildings in the chain to see the difference (unless Darthmod changes things)
EDIT: Oh and btw, just in case it was missed in the mass of comments, in part 1 I left a guide to basic Japanese pronunciation which I hope will be useful.

Some tips since, i've played Obama clan sometime ago:
1-Make contact with the Aizu clan, Matsumoto family, they're a quite formidable clan and the AI can really help you sending their ships to raid enemy coastlines;
2-The Jozai clan, also near the Aizu clan, are also a good marauding clan and can help you against the Imperialist forces;
3-Send some of your weakest forces south to harass the Yodo clan;
4-Make contact with other Shogunate supporting factions! They're a good cheap gold mining Sons of Amaterasu that can provide you some coin at least until realm divide;]
5- As you're with the Obama clan, choose the Republic please!!! Oh yes, FREEDOM KNOCKING AT JAPANESE DOORS AT THE BOSHIN WAR BABY!!!

Having nearly two thounsand hours in this total war game I find you want ships more and larger ones. It is also more fruitful two go down the civil side of the tech tree for the passive boosters.
Man, i love this game. Bang bang, boom boom, that is what i like to hear in any TW game (and naval battles).

I may just start a new shogun 2 game, sparking my interest. This is the game that really got me interested in TW. Be great to have a remake of MEDIEVAL II on a modern engine. Would have been nice if warhammer 2 had proper sieges like shogun 2 too, sieges are lame in WH 2 , maybe they can add it to WH 3 when it comes out. Some of the graphics mods really make SH 2 look nice even for its age. Some of the best melee animations in tw game.
fertility mechanic is not realy clear on the first sight in FotS. when you hover over farm building, it shows base income from that building. but when you take a look at income from farms in province tab, you may see that the income is often much higher then the building shows. thats where the fertility plays a part. when you hover over number of that farm income in province tab, it will show percentage of increase from that base income, and that percentage is determined by the fertility of your farms (which is categorized to 5 levels: barren, meagre, average, fertile and very fertile)
I wonder if the modder added the "unaccompanied minor" militia unit, so you can have a realistic unexpected invasion Obama-style :P the jokes write themselves
One of the disadvantages of SSDs is that you don't get to hear much of the great piece of music that is played after a victory

I think the fertility on farms determines how much food they produce? Can't remember for sure, since it was ages ago when i last played Shogun 2, but i seem to remember it has a food/supplies/replenishment system similar to 3 Kingdoms.
Check to treasury tab or own clan info tab.
Fall of the Samurai did away with the food system of Shogun 2, farms are for income only.

Can someone explain why the levy troops can kneel fire. Because
1. They cant kneel fire
2. Why so early
It's just this game it's very funny you have kneel fire ability but not the tech. The tech i believe allows all missile units to do so.
Yeah but the tech only applies on the imperial infantry and above. Levy and line wasn't given the option. If thinking that the mod allowed it. I have played fots before. The levy troops and line infantry can't kneel fire in the game.

Becareful though. Your supposed allies are allies. Had a rough start with the aizu. Most of the time they go on a murdererous rampage.
