I know this is a very popular luxury bag comparison and I'm a little disappointed that I don't quite feel I did it justice.
I am determined to keep to my twice weekly upload schedule but this week has been really quite busy. I debated uploading this- or waiting until I could get it exactly the way I wanted it. Which would you guys prefer? I decided being reliable was more important...
I love doing handbag reviews- this is what my channel is all about- so these videos are always a pleasure to film but I am on a mission to improve the quality of my videos. I'm really open to any suggestions in the comments if there's anything you think that I should include.
I know myself what I've learnt after today's video- try to talk sense. As in.. put words together in sentences that make sense. I think I was a little tired when I filmed this which didn't help- but I'm working on getting more organised so I can film at better times. - แนวปฏิบัติและการใช้ชีวิต
I’m in love with the Coco 😏 and a proud owner of a black quilted mini Coco. The style is timeless and much more hard wearing. The Trendy doesn’t look ‘trendy’ at all to me. It ages me and suits my mom or grandmother more. It’s also too big in the smallest size. If it was a tad smaller, I might consider it. However I stay far away from lambskin. Owned a lambskin mini rec and sold it after 5 months. Coco will stay in my collection forever ♥️
i have the CC trendy and i don't regret buying it,,,its so Chanel with smooth leather,, love wearing it and it fits so much!!!

Stunning Emma - I am for trendy cc al the way. It is a jaw dropping bag. And yes a thousand extra is worth it. It is flap out out of this world, so gorgeous!
I have this exact same coco mini like yours. I just purchased it few months ago and I absolutely love it. I am not into Trendy because of the style and price. I think coco handle is the best value handbag that you can get from Chanel. Thanks for the comparison.
Love the way the trendy looks! Knowing you've taken such good care of your trendy yet it still has marks makes me realize that I'll probably go for a Coco handle. I'm a pretty paranoid bag user and baby my bags, so I don't think I could use a trendy without panicking. Thanks for making such an informative video!
Love your honesty and your advice about cost and practicality
I am a ccco handle lover. I have looked at the Trendy quite a few times over the last few years, and everyone of the display bags I looked at had scratches or marked. My SA would say she could get me a new one, but seeing how bad the new display bags looked, I was not willing to risk it.
I have two bags in lambskin; a 19 series classic flap in black, and a 28 series mini in black, and both are still in perfect condition. I don’t know what it is about about the lambskin Trendy’s I have seen, but they scare me.
On the other hand, I have two mini coco handles, and I love them, and may even be adding another this season.
If you have a classic flap, I was wondering which style you liked best.
I have the classic black lamb with ghw, a black caviar classic flap with shw; both in medium, and I have a small classic flap in iridescent blue with champagne gold hardware. I LOVE the classic flap, it is quintessential Chanel to me. But yikes, they are getting SO expensive. I also have 4 rectangular mini’s, 2 medium Business affinity’s, the two mini coco handles, a black calf Boy, and a classic black woc. I love them all. That is my problem, I have too many favorite styles, colors, metals, etc. I would love another classic flap, but the price tag is getting out of hand.

Karen Ferreira I am sorry I didn’t see your question earlier. But that blue classic flap is a keeper for me; I bought her at 31 Rue Cambon last spring, so she is extra, extra special to me :)

Had I known the price difference before I got my large, pink CC Trendy🤣. The Coco is nice and more affordable, but I love the metal bar on the top and the CC logo inside of the CC Trendy. I also love that I can hide the strap inside de bag, and it is super spacious. I don't know. I just love the CC Trendy. As you said, there is no logic when buying luxury goods.
Thank you so much for this review and letting us know about the damage issues with the Trendy. I love the silhouette, but I would never carry a bag I was afraid of damaging. I have the "Coco" handle in medium and I love it. This was ordered in for me by the boutique in Manchester last year. I purchased this because i've always wanted the "Trendy CC" in the beige and couldn't get hold of it (I did manage to get one in the next size up preloved, but there was no serial number label inside so returned it). I love my coco handle and could have bought a black "Trendy CC", but It's too much like my classic flap, but still wouldn't say no to one if the price was right LOL.
Coco mini in is definitely my favourite bag from Chanel! I want to own one ☝️ in every colour of the rainbow 🌈 with that said i do now own a trendy and she is beautiful

great comparison ,my classic flap lambskin does the same thing I used the bag twice and somehow got scratches on the inside flap. could be from keys , my nails.. ect.. u need to be beyond careful. HOWEVER I feel the lambskin is much richer looking the caviar looks basic to me.. its not as nice IMO. yes more durable so if you can only buy 1 bag in your life, get caviar, if you're afraid. BUT live life! Get the lambskin! Enjoy it! I don't regret it at all even with the scratches its so beautiful! So shiny! So fancy! ugh I love it lol
Great review. I was at Chanel store yesterday planning to buy the coco Chanel for sure, then I was disappointed that it’s fabric inside and not lamb skins. I watched another youtuber who bought her coco chanel a couple years ago and hers was fully leather inside out and was made with lamb skin. I guess the new series are no longer do that. Well, I was sad that the coco Chanel wasn’t what I’m expected. On my way home, I walked pass the Burberry store and saw a cute bag. I went in and tried it on and found out it was made with 100% lamb skins inside and outside. The price is 1/3 of the coco Chanel. It’s so soft so beautiful 😍 And that’s it, I bought the Burberry instead of the Chanel. It has the quality that I like, the look is different with Chanel but it’s still look great in different style that I also like. 😊
Wow the trand cc is beautiful but like u say and show the damages is the and really easy to happen, I was already sold on the coco and for sure u help me to can’t want the trand. Love love ty 🥰🥰🥰

Wow first comment! Hello from Ontario, Canada. Love your videos! Love this comparison with all the added pictures, much appreciated! Coco handle mini unfortunately doesn't work for me as I like to wear my bags crossbody and although I am petite, the top handle digs into my ribs leaving me to wear it top handle and over the shoulder. I like the options for wearing the coco handle mini but if I didn't find it uncomfortable to wear it crossbody, as I wear most of my bags crossbody, then I would purchase it, if I found the colour I like. Maybe one day they will make the strap longer and maybe one day they will release the Trendy in goatskin or caviar? I can only hope but the lambskin looks and feels so luxurious! This was the excact comparison I needed to see. I am a Trendy fan (allthough Coco is also on my list). I just know after seeing this video that the Trendy is what my heart wants. Same! I passed on a caramel trendy coz I saw the shelf model next to the one I was gonna get. And boy it didn’t age well. Had my coco handle for 2yrs and it looks brand new.

I love the trendy. Still waiting for a certain colour then I will definitely get it. However they have never done it in caviar (I don’t think) which is a shame but maybe it would make it heavier?

I have the medium coco handle and took a look at the trendy recently. I really prefer my coco to the trendy. The nice thing on the medium coco is it has the zip pockets and the slip pockets similar to the trendy and fits comparable to what is in your trendy....probably more compararable in size to your trendy. I didn't like the way the strap attached on the trendy or that everyone I saw seems to have scratches either on the bar or the bag itself. But the lucky thing is Chanel has something for everyone given we all have different tastes!

I have medium coco handle (next size up from the one you’re showing) it’s only about £350 more than the small and it’s fabulous definitely a much better buy in my opinion (Eileen)

I have both as well. Trendy is a bit heavier and bulkier. I am very petite so the trendy only looks proportionate to my body if I wear a jacket or blazer with it so it is more of a fall and winter bag for me. The coco handle is easier to clean, lighter so it is more of a summer bag.
I love the design of the trendy it is very gorgeous however will they make it in caviar leather because this is wayyyyy too delicate

Theres a spray you can get from a uk company called ‘ the handbag spa’ which buffs all the scratches out
That tweed coco handle made my heart sing. So gutted that when I saw it up close it had red and blue in, if it was monochrome I’d be throwing my money at them 😂
Isn't it cute! I'm falling for the tweed- but I like the navy so much- I tend to avoid the red tones. Fingers crossed they might do a monochrome in the future- I hadn't seen the tweed ones until recently xx

I like both but i love the mini flap which i felt is so over price but i know i will loved more. So i will get that. Plus it will have a higher price increase.

Hi Emma, seeing the wear&tear on the trendy, do you still think it’s worth it? 😕 I’ve had it on my wishlist for ages and I’m about to pull the trigger, but seeing the scratches and hearing you say that you barely even wear it, is getting me concerned... In all honesty, would you buy it again, knowing the wear&tear?

Have you moisturized the trendy I have a lamb skin maxi I moisturize it every three months and I just buff it in and all the marks just disappear.

Emma Anders Cadillac boot and shoe cleaner and moisturizer. It will work wonders I promise.

It's not heavy
Yes Trendy is a heavy bag.. Its almost 1kg empty (size small), as there's a lot of leather for this style. ML classic flap is 700grams+

I love the Trendy but I think it is a shame they emblazoned CHANEL across the top. It's obvious it is Chanel and it makes it a bit tacky imho on an otherwise beautiful bag. Love the Coco in the tweed though...saw it in the flesh in Dubai and it is gorgeous :-)
There is something about the handle on the coco that just doesn’t sit right to me, I think they got the dimensions of it a little wrong 👀

I might be wrong, but I think they changed the Trendy so the shoulder strap does not come off. It has a disk instead of a bar so it won't slip out. Again, might be wrong :D My fiancé is encouraging me to buy a navy chanel bag, bless him.

@@Emmaanders It horrified me too at first but when I looked at my Trendy afterwards 😍 honestly it was good as new! I have the Beige also (Same as Claire Chanelle) I did that one 1st then my Black one.
