Holy shit When Pyrion did his Seagull noise a seagull outside my open window started doing it back, I suggest that he can in fact do THE best Seagull impression as voted for by them
Regarding the spectre reality dagger, unfortunately that was what her ult did naturally before the facets were added so mostly she's just worse than prepatch because many other heroes got cool new things and she just got a core mechanic from hers moved to the facet.
One of the rules to help prevent player 1 getting ahead in Monopoly is usually that you cannot purchase on your first go round the board. This allows bad luck to cause player 1 to fall behind on the position.
Same issue, one player is ahead on the board. Just makes the game longer. The solution is not to play like a greedy A**hole, It's a game for small kids and families. If someone needs a card you have just sell it to them.
Theres a game called fortune street thats like monopoly except theres stocks and you can buy out properties and the game has better incentive to move around the board
So apparently the property names in 'vanilla' Monopoly are different in the UK? I would have assumed they were just the same. It's not like most folks in the US are familiar with the Atlantic City, New Jersey locations they're named after anyway (and I bet a fair percentage don't even realize it's based on Atlantic City or even any real place)...
@Gneekman not only are they completely different, but the London version was developed and released at the same time as the US version. Parker Bros gave the licence to Waddingtons to make our version before it was released to the public. Because of the Commonwealth (except Canada) getting the UK variant, its arguably better known worldwide than the US board.
Regarding monopoly. In order to get sets if no one had one... my family and I would always do deals with conditions - for instance if you're trading and both getting sets... whoever would get the lesser set, would get some sort of immunity on the other property / sometimes the whole set. Means you profit with a set, they profit with a better set but a lower number of sources of income... and the two of you benefit whilst all the other players suffer. The very heart of monopoly.
i enjoy monopoly cos im one of the idiots that makes sensible trades ie a property that means my monopoly but with a higher price or someone asks me for a monopoly property for another property and i ask for more money in return since its a monopoly and will screw me over
28 in the UK is a lot different than 28 in warmer countries as their houses are designed to keep heat in and most don't have AC. That being said, if you're also in a country like that, I feel for you. I'm in Canada and it's been around 35 for a couple weeks now. Thankfully my apartment has AC, though it can't really keep up.
PFlax points out that the game isn't meant to be 'balanced.' ( 34:45 ) I think it's more accurate to say the simple rules are added to make the game more 'fair,' which is what makes it a slog.

the free parking square is supposed to do nothing. the money pot going into it is a house rule that everyone just thinks is cannon. love these vids!
When axe was standing still we were talking about how drunk Pudge was. He said he had finished his vodka
I wish they commented earlier on how ABSOLUTELY TRAGIC the last hitting during laning was. Even for the scrubcast it was surprisingly poor.
The Skywrath went the entire game with no boots...
Yeah the 88 thing was unfortunate to find out about

At 20:00 we are already at 52 kills and rapidly climbing. If this was normal DotA I'd play it.

@@Gneekman there's even WW2 POW escape kits that were disguised as the UK version of Monopoly!

Cringe is a verb, not an adjective. The word you are looking for is cringeworthy 😄

Riskopoly is the best homebrew of Risk and Monopoly.
