Script of the bridge is a masterpiece and perfect as it is.. Mark Reg and Dave are gentlemen.. and not forgetting John.. though never chatted to John or Reg..
@@58jimjam dude i fell in love with their music so much i stalked Mark lol not really but wanted his autograph.. then i got Reg! now Dave Fielding next hopefully.. Script of the bridge is a masterpiece and blew me away..
Great comment, I always liked Interpol and just discovered The Chameleons. Perfume Garden blows every Interpol song out of the water and is definitely a template
@@thesound-chameleonman3580 The shimmering guitars are unbelievable on that song. Thanks for the great recco! Check out a track called Frittering by Mercury Rev it's one of my faves.
U2 wishes they were as good as the Chameleons were.
OMG!! I always tell myself that 🤣
they borrowed a lot
Lived 63 yrs and with all the music this is the band i come back to
The Peel Sessions are so good. Different energy to the album versions.
Always ever preferred this version of "Second Skin" to that one on the album. So great
Back in the day this band were fantastic, particularly Script.
Absolutely, merry christmas.
Thx, one of my favourite post punk bands. Their sound was unique, sometimes melancholic, sometimes powerful but always great
Perfection 10/10.
My favorite band! 😁🙌🎧🔊
ditto, by a country mile.
Still gives me chills...
Don't Fall (0:02), Nostalgia (3:45), Perfumed Garden (7:10) & Second Skin (11:40)
A Great Band a real big Jewel of Underground ( Remember Yesterday !) The Treal Show Must Go On and thank John Peel ( R-I-P).
I can't wait for this 2022 tour with the Mission UK!
I already got my tickets but it's cancelled and rescheduled for next year of fall 2023 unfortunately
they were well ahead of their time. so many others sounded like this in the late 80s/earley 90s.

Epic.
Second skin starts at 11:40

This is what their albums should have sounded like. Raw, aggressive and full of passion. Not the same dreary soundscapes on every song.

@@58jimjam great song
Interpol copied Perfumed Garden for a LOT of their sound! vocally Paul Banks sounds like Mark Burgess here as well..
and they were smart to do it.
