This is a reall great video. Why? Because its Informitave, and Realestic. The "decision making" of the customer is VERY realistic.... GREAT costomer service, and SOUND (realistic) advice! Good job!
When I first started exploring kilts and tartans the folks at USA were outstanding in their patience, understanding, and knowledge. Today I own 18 kilts and three different kilt jackets, not all of which come from USA Kilts. I will say that the best fitting ones do come from them. Half of the items I've bought from other companies had issues like hem length, waist size that needed adjustment at my local tailor. The only reason I've ever had in taking a USA item to my tailor was either weight loss or off the rack jacket sleeve length.
Great video. Wish I lived close enough to do what Pat did, but I'll just have to do this remotely (and I have ordered mine... just waiting on the candy!).
I've gone through this process three times, in person, at USA Kilts. I did a casual with basic accessories, a Prince Charlie with premium kilt, and still waiting on my tweed jacket and vest. That last was actually with Ian. I've been helped by most of the folks you see on their videos at one time or another. This video was a very accurate look at the process. Before going to visit USA Kilts enroute to elsewhere, I only had an ill fitting utility kilt. David
Patrick looks absolutely dashing in his new outfit. I've ordered two kilts & some accessories with Ian & I'm very happy with all of my purchases. The ladies that made my Kilts did a top-notch job, they're true craftswomen. Also, I apricate that they sell more than Kilts & actually have many unique gift ideas at a great price for every occasion. Kudos to Rocky & his leadership for building a team that's second to none & I for one look forward to doing business with Team USA Kilts & enjoying their products, entertainment & advice for many years to come because Team USA Kilts truly is "Above Top Shelf", thanks team.
+USAKiltsOfficial *Thanks for the demo.* Were I going in person to Spring City (PA, USA), I'd double check the dimensions for kilt, vest and jacket. I cannot rule out a contingency for a Wesleyan convention in Great Britain, thus my Tartan of choice therefor: Clark Ancient (Lochcarron 13Z).
I would want to see photos of him trying a brown or dark gray jacket if available. The tartan selected along with the sporran, kilt flashes and kilt pin are all excellent picks … This video was a good watch
Yes, we are buying our jackets from our tailor in Scotland. We find that Americans tend to like our jackets a little "roomier" than our cousins across the pond.
First off, make sure your weight is stable or you'll end up like me with a bunch of nice kilts you can't wear anymore unless you're able to not gain weight. They are adjustable to a certain degree on some of them. They are made to size.

We went there in July, it was well worth the 7 hr drive!
Wow, thank you so much Michael! We are glad you are happy with your kilts from USA Kilts!

Yeap. I'm with you. I'm close to Waco Texas, but 1 day I'll go up in person

Thank you! We will keep this in mind for future try-ons!
Well done, Ian! ✌️😁
Thats a great sporran!
Can you guys do a bit of a sporran tour video? Different things to think about, styles, colours and patterns?
Great suggestion! We'll add it to our list!
You didn't ask WHEN the wedding was before getting him to make the other decisions! I hope it's not the next day!
I’m wondering if you’re using the same size on waistcoat and jackets as in Scotland?
Yes, we are buying our jackets from our tailor in Scotland. We find that Americans tend to like our jackets a little "roomier" than our cousins across the pond.
I've gone to garter ties rather than flashes. I just prefer the more traditional look.

Do you Wear a thing under it!!
We discuss this over on our clips channel! www.youtube.com/@KiltsAndCultureClips
OK, first plot hole. How did he know that was Irish national? Ian never specifically said that. Plot hole number one!
Wait a minute...at the end, those aren't the Lewis 2 tone hose, is it?
Yes
Yes, they are!
