I don’t think Ian has been enjoying being on smosh for a long time. It’s just been another job for him and he’s been forcing himself to be happy.
Also smosh was owned by another company and they had very little control over how they did things or what would happen.
With Anthony coming back, they now get to do what they want with the channel.
it's prolly cuz he's also able to have less of a workload cuz he's no longer the only boss. since anthony is generally a natural people person- i'm sure he adjusted relatively quickly as smosh's second boss. good for ian!

To be fair, until like, 20 I would always get the date mixed up and would only correct myself with the "2011" mistake cause I wouldve remembered it happening.
There are people who are adults now where 9/11 happened either before they were born or when they were young children and not comprehending it. Angela (according to google) wouldve been like, 7 or 8 when it happened.
Also 9/11 was literally traumatic for the entirety of the US and she mightve blocked that memory and now has to depend on context clues (like my younger self) to even remember the date.
Also some people are just dog shit at history and cant keep any dates straight (which Angela has shown during Starkid Livestreams and has to announce production dates when she is actively reading them lol.)

i think you will be happy to know that (at least in my school) the health classes have improved significantly, we have them scattered throughout both middle and high school, people aren’t separated based on sex, and it goes very in debth, it’s also not a “SEX IS SCARY NEVER DO IT” it’s like “if you do it, here are good protective measures you can use” they are also actually classes and not just a quick run down during PE

i’m from louisiana deadass we didn’t even have sex ed in my parish (that’s what we call counties) we just had health classes where we talked about general wellness and drug prevention. i remember, especially growing up heavily in the church, when i got my first period it was like the scene from carrie. i had no idea what was going on (i had to look up videos on youtube to figure out how to use a tampon because my family thought using them would make me promiscuous)

Fr, I'm a guy but just straight didn't know all the guy parts, I only had the female parts mixed up. although tbf there's a lot more that can go wrong with female anatomy and it's more complex in general, hence there's more incentive to teach about it compared to male anatomy.

I haven't watched smosh for years, I've seen a few videos and clips here and there but I remember being an avid viewer back when they first started (I'm talking Anthony and Ian era) but accidentally stumbling on this video now that I'm 24 and literally being in tears from laughing so hard has been the best and definitely reminded me why I loved watching their videos and makes me want to circle back and start watching more of their videos again!

Random fun fact, there are actually 8 sensory systems but most people are only aware of the classic 5 - gustatory (taste), visual (sight), auditory (hearing), olfactory (smell), and tactile (touch)
We also have a sensory system for balance (vestibular), awareness of where we are relative to ourselves - like knowing how many fingers we’re holding up behind our backs (proprioceptive), and awareness of what’s happening inside our bodies - like knowing when we’re hungry, sick, need the restroom, etc. (interoceptive) 11:21

The other thing that a lot of people struggle to wrap their heads around is that it's not necessarily the same everywhere across the body. I've got tactile and proprioceptive issues, but it's not everywhere and it's not the same in all of the places that are impacted. I have hypersensitivity in my mouth which makes a healthy diet obscenely difficult because eating most food is varying degrees of painful, but I have hyposensitivity in my fingertips, so I keep finding myself unconsciously digging my fingernails into my fingertips so I can feel them.
Sensory stuff is fun
This why by far the best group. These 5 had me deceased 💀 the way Ian delivered “he stuck his finger up my ass.”

At my school the girls and guys were separated and the girls learned about the guys and the guys learned about the girls and all the guys were so disgusted by learning about periods lmao, they tried to stay away from girls and would go "ew" when they had to sit next to girls in class 😅😂
This was in elementary school btw.
I’m convinced most sex-ed was teaching everyone about men and then they gave the girls a fill-in-the-blank sheet for their bits and that was it.
yeah my classes were separated too! especially being a trans kid, i hated every second of it. i never understood why different people couldn't learn about other's bodies. it never made sense to me
