Great to see this posted. Enjoy riding the boats myself. Note on the Cape Henlopen, the vessel served in WW2 (1944 Normandy... D-Day...) - long interesting historic career. And, the Cape is the largest of the vessels in length - but you're right the John is the largest overall (car capacity and probably gross tons). Try to ride the Cape H someday; you'll probably like the amount of prop wash (astern and bow thruster)...

I`m working on the MS Ostfriesland the ship which travels between Emden (my hometown) and the island Borkum (lenght 78m width12m vehicle capacity 70)
I grew up on long island. But never took this ferry
