The shots at the beginning was Castro ST in Mountain View... My School use to be on this street and i was a freshmen... Cool to see the old stores as they use be... The ending scenes are SJ or willow glen,, i forget now,, but i had a friend that lived on that street... can tell by the palm Trees.
I wasn't born yet, but walk with a gal pal in this area where my Grandmother lives on Loretto. :) Born and raise MV girl I grew up running around these streets. Its so cool to see some old school days!
The "overpass" in the background was from MV-Alviso road heading east near Middlefield Rd. There was an old white house that the bikers lived/partied in the mid-late 60's. Of course, it has since been torn down and now part of the Silicon Valley wasteland. Them were the days.
I lived at 1200 Villa St, 1957-1968. I went to see the old white house after a 5 county task force attacked the Hells Angels (1968?). The Angels stomped the upper story down, and basically tore everything down; they were pretty pissed. I remember when the 2 college students renting it were told "you can stay or you can leave: we're moving in". When i passed by in the early (8am) mornings, there was one Angel with a 16" over front end, no brake, and no weight on the front, doing full on wheelies for the schoolkids waiting for the bus. Those WERE the good ol' days, my friends!
The crash scene was in the yard of 416 Bush St. corner of Bush & California. My grandmother lived there then, next door to her mother & 2 doors down from her sister. I was a teenager then & had just gone into the service. My grandmother started her crush on Sonny that day. Little did I know that today I would be a member in that club!!
+Buck Winters At the start of the movie where the two brothers have some fun with the driver, where is this road located where Tom Stern laid his bike down?
Ride To Live Live To Ride that looks alot like san bernardino with the big ole san gabriel mountain in the backround i live behind that mountain in victorville,ca
The acrobatics look to have been shot at the corner of Bush and Velarde. (The guy who has a crash lands in the bushes in front of 416 Bush St.; others watching are standing in front of 415 Bush St. Google Street View shows these houses look similar today!) I don't know about the overpass, though. That stumped me.
My hometown. I grew up on Bush St, a few blocks from this, there were a few older biker guys who terrorized the neighborhood in the 80’s.
Definitely my hometown actually I moved back to Mountain View. I used to live over there in front of Ringstar park.
Ah Hells Angels ‘69. Great biker flick!
