As a kid, I loved Christmas time, Christmas music, the thought of gifts under the tree and eggnog by the fireside. However, the harshness and reality of life as an adult have taken that away, but we are not to live in fantasy, but life as it is presented to us, and within that life we must find a way to give and be given to, for there is nothing else in life that matters. Christ suffered greatly here on earth. His life was far from peaceful, even in the scriptures He states "Think not that I am come to send peace on earth. I came not to send peace, but a sword." Mathew `10: 24-36. He and his disciples were harassed, burned, tortured, and slaughtered. There is ultimate peace, but it is not to be found here on earth. Peace comes only in knowing that you're doing what's right and putting your treasures up in heaven, not here on earth. God bless and stay strong.
And as for me - it is now June 11th , 2024 . I still have my Christmas decorations up .. my choice . Because of Jesus our Risen Christ , kindness , being helpful and praying for brothers and sisters to be constantly seeking to be a light in the darkness .. I believe this with my whole heart .
That is so beautiful. We also still have ours up by choice. I am disabled and I'm in a hospital bed in my parents livingroom and because I love Christmas so much they left the tree up fully decorated so I can enjoy it all the time. It gives off the perfect amount of light at night time so if I wake up I don't feel disoriented or scared. Jesus is my Lord and Saviour & one day I will be completely healed if not on this earth, in Heaven for sure. God bless you 🙏🏻💜🙏🏻

Well, as you can see, "Santa" left the kiddlings a lot of books...as well as other things. My wife and I are sitting here in front of the fire enjoying a "Silent night" and the tree/snow with a big bowl of popcorn. I found this while practicing my violin. I'm a very beginner violinist...and sometimes it's hard to hear yourself play.. But atm. I am practicing to this. Ots absolutely perfect because it allows me to hear my notes. Violin is very difficult. I am a newbie...but passionate about it. This was perfect for me.
