Leave me your favorite pens and inks recommendations! ❣
My Leonardo Flows too well. It’s so wet and every letter has extreme shading. But it’s an Elastic Fine, so a softer bouncy nib. But the flow makes it look like a Broad. Still trying to find inks that I like with it. I’ve tried 4.
My Pilot Vanishing Point has Baby’s Bottom. It works fine with my right hand. Problem is I am left-handed. Lol. If I ever go to a pen show, I’ll have it ground to a fine or a stub. It’s a medium.
My current favorite pens are:
TWSBIS. All of them. I even have a custom Architect nib on a Swipe.
Hongdian N7 Longknife
Sailor Pro Gear Slim Medium nib
Benu Talisman Fine (it is like a medium and works very well with shimmer ink)
Maraschino Cherry Esterbrook Estie with journaler nib. If I get another one will be a Medium Tortoise Shell.
Pilot Explorer is an underrated pen. I love mine in Medium nib.
Pilot Prera with CM nib. Nice small stub that isn’t too wet. Only it hates shimmer inks and very dry inks.
I heard you can change the feeder, maybe try a superflow ebonite feeder or something…
For now it is working! I feel like it has its own life and work or doesn’t work whenever it wants!
You can unscrew the Leonardo's nibs and maybe reset the feed and nib together better. I had to do that on one of mine. Once I did that it worked amazing.
How do I do this?!
@@Whatttupv The nib unscrews from the section you hold. You should be able then to move the nib against the feed underneath with your thumb. Works best if clean and still wet.
I;ve been lucky that my Leonardo's have been good, but I've seen people who have had issues. Here's hoping you don't have to send it back to the manufacturer because I know a lady has to wait 6 months for a repair and they may not take your pen since custom grinding can void some warranties.
:/ :/ mine works and doesn’t work and it’s just so unpredictable!
Sorry to hear about your fountain pen problem. I wonder if you can switch the nib all together. I’m not sure if by grinding the nib the manufacturer will accept the pen. You will have to look into that. Thanks for your videos, I really enjoy them. Have a wonderful weekend.
I am trying to find a new Nib or try to put it apart and together again!
