Thanks for the feedback! That's fair enough, and the K1 wasn't designed with noise very much in mind. Other than this, how have you found the helmet out on the road?
Thank you for these thorough testing & swift responses to the comments. While your reviews are posted on the website in a video format, it would be incredible helpful to have a sortable & filterable chart of gears with columns of these testing categories (material, weight, etc.). It would help so much to narrow down the search for the helmet rather than having to shift through each video. Within the similar budget of AGV K1, would you recommend a different full face instead? If so, which one?
Thank you for the great suggestion! We'll look and see what we can do. While the K1 is the most inexpensive quality helmet, good alternatives are the Nolan N87 (Plus), HJC i70, or the Shark Skwal 2.2. Each offers slightly different features so it would depend on how you prefer your helmet. You can see how all 4 compare here: th-cam.com/video/dQcjBj8ib1g/w-d-xo.html. What are your thoughts on the K1?
@@Championhelmets Thank you for listening to my feedback, as well as suggesting the alternatives. Considering the entire package, it seems like K1 is simply the most well-rounded helmet in the price range. This is especially so, from one of the most reputable manufacturers with actual racing research & development like MotoGP. Its shortcomings like material is mitigated by still light weight, and its noise will be mitigated by wearing plugs (which should be worn with all helmets anyway). Regarding the helmet score ratings in your videos, it would also be highly beneficial to see the actual measured values (weight displayed in grams, noise displayed in decibels, etc.) next to the star ratings. Only seeing the star ratings can be ambiguous, and having the numerical values can further enhance the sorting/filtering mechanism of the aforementioned helmet review chart.
The K1 does do the best in terms of being well rounded with an unbeatable price. And thanks for the second suggestion, we appreciate it, and will see how we can integrate it!
As with the GT Air 2, if the helmet's circumference and fit are correct, then it's better to stick with the helmet since that is the most important for safety. As long as it is not uncomfortable on your chin and it's not fully pressed against your chin then it should be fine. Thanks for the question! How have you found the K1 so far?
Hello Champion Helmets! I got a K1 (Mir), but an issue with the helmet regarding vision as the pinlock lens we fitted kind of distracts the slightly upper area view, the pinlock lens edge line is clearly noticible as it covers only a rather small area of the visor vertically. Are there different sizes of the pinlock lens for K1?
Hi Rommel, and thank you for your comment. In fact, the pinlock for the AGV K1 comes in two different sizes, so depending on the size of helmet you have purchased, you will need one or the other. The smallest pinlock is the one used by helmets ranging from XXS to L and the largest is the one that ranges from XL to XXXL. I leave the link so that you can see it on our page: www.championhelmets.com/us/gt2-visor-for-agv-k1-/-k-3-sv.html
Unfortunately, the K1 does not come with the Pinlock anti-fog insert in the box, which has been one of the ways AGV have kept the cost down. If you're looking to get the additional Pinlock insert lens, you can also send us an email at contact@championhelmets.com where we can help you out further. Thanks for the comment! What do you think of the K1 so far?

@@Championhelmets I love the helmet! It was the first time I purchased a double D ring helmet and now I am sold. Also, I get very little wind noise and the aerodynamics are great. The K1 offers a fairly good field of view, and it will work best in more forward riding positions. As far as greater visibility on the roads, it is possible to add separate reflective stickers (depending on local regulations). Thanks for the question! What are your thoughts o the AGV helmet?
Though the K1 is sporty in looks, it does work well in a variety of positions including an upright one. However, it is a noisy helmet since we recorded 105 dB in the helmet during our test. With the K1 it mainly depends on what you're looking for. If you're looking for a cheap budget racing helmet to get you around the track, then the K1 is a solid helmet with decent ventilation and a very light weight. However, for everyday road use, there are better budget helmets out there like the Nolan N87 Plus or the HJC I70 since these helmets come with more features like the pinlock insert in the box and an integrated sun visor. @Yamaha, we would go with the AGV K5(S). While the K1 has not been tested by SHARP yet, the K5S has the same 4-star safety rating as the K3 SV, but will be more comfortable than the other two. Thanks for the question! What's your opinion of these helmets?
@@Championhelmets thanks for replying. For many years I am LS2 user. I am pretty much confused with the agv premium brand styles. I wanted to know actually does these agv provides silent rides. As you suggested I would surely try the fit of k5 agv's.

The K1 would be on the noisier side during long journeys since, when we measured it, it came out at 105 dB. So, if you are planning to take the K1 on tour, it would best to at least have ear plugs to prevent fatigue and hearing damage. What do you think of the helmet?
The answer mainly depends on how sport oriented you're looking to go as well as budget, since you often see more shell sizes in more upper market segments. As far as multiple shell sizes in a sport helmet, the best choices would be the Shoei X-Spirit 3, AGV Pista GP RR since they come with 4 outer shell sizes. These helmets aside, you may also get a good fit from the X-Lite X-803 RS Ultra Carbon, HJC RPHA 11 (Carbon), and the Scorpion EXO R1 Air which come in 3 outer shell sizes.
