You fish with live bait without a wire leader? That first big fish on the live bait didn't spit the hook, the line was cut. Would have been interested to see what that was.
Some people don't know how to clean up after themselves and make it terrible for others. What I bring I take back and I usually pick up other trash around me too.
Fished there in August a guy catch a big catfish and d bone about 6" went in just above his ankle luckily there was other people there cuz he came by himself
It was our first time...We did go back another time and caught about a hundred fish with bait...Most of which were very small though...The artificials will be better to target the bigger fish...

Those are some nice grounds...Can't imagine how it was back then...Slowed down a bit now with over-fishing and pollution...But can still produce! Which part of the US are you living...Florida has some amazing fishing!!!

cholan segal Some parts around the wreck are pretty shallow...Just a couple feet deep...There would be some deep cut aways...And it will vary with the tide..
Most of the times the water south side is pretty murky...If you get a good tide one day, you can try a dive! Around that wreck would be very interesting!

It's sad to see the amount of garbage piled on that wreck. People just nasty. People who genuinely love fishing remove their garbage when they leaving the site. How difficult is it to gather all your garbage in one bag and take it just like when you're taking back ur bags, tackle, rods etc... (not talking about you of course) Sigh...

People leave their old bait right where they were fishing- shrimp, jashua and herring heads, fins, plastic bags and guardian paper with left over bait, old tangled mono, wire, hooks etc etc. They have no courtesy or consideration for the fisherfolk who coming after them. Even worse, The non-target species they catch- puffers, eels, crapaud fish etc., rather than throwing them back into the water, they leave them on the banks to rot and stink up the place. Oh gosh man, throw old bait in the water, fish will feed on them, encourage more fish to come to shore to feed, ergo more fish to catch. The non target species caught, they are part of the marine life- I just wish people would release them back into the water.

Yea...I almost never use wire...I think it affects the bite ratio...The risk you take is a bite off...But its all about your preference.
Sweet video. Grew up in that area spent many hours fishing on the wrecks. Used 30 pound mono because of the abrasion of the debris.
