Nobody is showing or mentioning this in their reviews of this pen: Is the nib curved at the back? Sort of in a swoop? I have a similar pen in burgundy, it writes brilliantly, and is very, very curved but not evidently sprung at all-just a smooth, concave backward (toward the inlay) curve. I would love to know if this is in the original design, or if the previous owner of my pen had it ‘smithed’ in some way.
Hi, I know you posted this video years ago but I recently purchased a Sheaffer 444 with a similar problem. I unfortunately don't have an assortment of sacs to choose from. Do you perhaps remember which sac size you used on this repair. The converter is identical.
+eduardo delgado Interestingly enough, I just took out my dad's 440 and the sac is completely wasted (hard and crumbly). I've put it in water overnight to get the ink off it. Being in Mumbai, India not a lot of options to buy online or in nearby stores. I think I'll have to scourge through some old specialist shops who may still have some - or ask a friend to order some online in USA and then have them sent over. Slightly off topic, Ink pens are losing their market here. You can buy a refillable cartridge filled one for 25 rupees (50 cents) and an ink pot for a similar price too. But its a shame, people don't use these any more. Of course, I'm talking about run off the mill plastic ones.
+sbrebrown I faced a similar issue trying to trace this step by step guide (read - very helpful video). May I request that you include the words Sheaffer 440 & Sheaffer 444 in the description please. It will help many others too. Thanks for the upload and I much appreciate your work.
@@sbrebrown But does the screw in piston converter work on triumph 444 model? I was thinking of just buying a new converter but I don't know what kind I shall buy. Thanks!

Hi Stephen, nice Video. Another way to find the right length of the rubber sac is using the old sac as an example...

Hi there, all sheaffer converters work c
Use sac size 15
Where can I buy it and where can I find it?
Sir, where can I buy a new sack? Is it from Sheaffer's website or some online shop? Or can I buy this from electrical stores, etc.?
Some specialized pen stores sell them
