For Zed's card, you can add a "Zedvancement" move. A Cleo move can be "Class Dismissed"

Class Dismissed should be her secondary attack and could force her opponent hermit to go AFK.

I feel like mad scientist would be a good move to have an extra effect that confuses the opponent in some way like swapping cards or something

well since you accidentally became the map art guy, your special could be something like "Map it out" and you use it like a search effect
That would be pretty powerful but that gives me an idea how about search 1 and then draw 1 or vice versa

You should make 1 "Empires" card. It would be like a specific hermit cart, except it would be every empires member on one card. Probably balanced type, and you would have to get a bunch of them to come and each press one button for the numbers.
And it would be an Ultra rare!

I really sincerely hope that when this season is over, you get your minigame server people to turn this amazing TCG project into a mod and make a moded server for people to play! Maybe everyone who joines the server spawns with the base pack in their inventory, and buy playing you earn in-game coins with which you can then buy boosters and expansion packs etc. And also, if you take good screenshots of the cards and lore before the end of the season, I'm sure the fan community could come together and make actual cards for people to print out and play at home

A mod wouldn't make it as accessible and you could easily make it with a plugin and just have people on vanilla clients be able to join

There is something so sweet about Pix making the rounds to greet and compliment all of the Hermits in person on the server, and his genuine excitement to be there. I can't stop smiling. Great clip, Beef!

All this interacting for pressing buttons has made me realize how damn good beef is at socialising. ive learned a few things about the art of quick conversation!
If TFC'S Branch Mine move works like "Dig" in Pokemon, you could add a secondary effect to it depending on the on the type of hermit in the AFK bench. For example, if there is a prankster hermit, he could steal item cards after he comes out. If there is a PVP hermit, he could do damage to all hermits once he comes out. Beef, thanks for creating the card game. It has been fascinating watching your season 9 episodes. I am looking forward to the launch of the game and the hermits playing it.

Zedaph moves: Science!, Getting Weird, What if?, Ah My Face!, (insert pun here). His special move should be something related to him collab-ing with other hermits. He consistently every season has reasons to regularly draw other hermits into his shenanigans. ooo, shenanigans is another move name possibility
OOOOO! Zedaph and Cleo have such big personalities! I can't wait to see their cards! (Cleo is like one of my top 5 Hermits and I think Zedaph is in my top 10... But like... I love all of you, so trying to rank is pretty futile and meaningless) ❤️
Also, I have no clue how many cards are in a deck, but I would love to see a Hermit Gal deck that's just False, Cleo, Stress, Gem, and Pearl... But unless there's like a special rare energy card that can go towards more than one card type, then that probably isn't viable. 😅
I'll just say, if you printed these IRL, I'd buy them all, no cap. I'm getting the TCG tingle by just watching you build the cards
I think x definitely has to have some admin related move. Either removing statuses or being able to recall a card that’s been discarded, something like that. Keep up the awesome work beef!
Thanks for the walkthrough of the special effects on the rare cards. I'm always interested in game design, and this is quite the project! Maybe TFC's "Take It Easy" could be a "return any card to owner's hand" sort of effect? Powerful, but that's sort of the point.

It’s funny how you mined around the ancient debris to keep it from falling into lava when it can’t burn.
I mean it would make me so happy to at least see a Recap expansion pack or something with Pix and Zloy and maybe Lyarrah too

Since Cleo is the armor stand person she is like a puppet master so her special move should be she can make one move for her opponent
Maybe there could be a future expansion pack with a new "Event" type card that represent different things that happened throughout the season that affect the whole playing field! For example, a "Rift" card that allows both players to swap an active and an AFK Hermit.
For an expansion card, it would be amazing to see a Grumblt card in the future. As he has also been a big part of the server for the past 2 seasons
OOOOOOOO, that would be so cool to see! And its special attack could be something realated to how all of the grumbots are connected! Or maybe a "Mumbo For Mayor" attack. dont know what that would do, but it would be intersting
If x has a move called admin, I think it should be something to do with removing mobs causing lag….he has highlighted that in a couple of his videos. I don’t remember any mob cards, though….
For Zedaph: Zedvancement - If you have played one of each type of card: something good happens (fully heal this hermit? does extra damage? gets you extra cards?)
Branch mine - allows the active hermit to use any power card attached to a AFK hermit for their next attack. Cannot be used consistently
Beef.. don't let these suggestions get to you, save your sanity, just finish the base game, don't worry about the Empires members until you want to
If there is a way to turn Minecraft maps into IRL downloadable images, it would be awesome to be able to see those cards in greater detail.
It would be awesome if these cards became a data pack we could all play!
My favorite part of the cards is how I can read the attacks in the Hermit's voices, they're all so memorable
If an Empires members expansion is too much, it could always be a utility pack with Empire item cards (the rift, Scott's hat etc)

Xisuma's special move could be admin related, like you can see the opponent's hand or deck or something, or maybe some form of update that restarts a stat. Something more meta, it's what I'm saying.
Look at the top card(s) of their deck? Look at the left most card in their hand? That sort of thing.
Or something like “Server Reset” remove all status effects and buffs from all active and afk cards in play

For Cleo: "no exits", prevents active hermits from retreating next turn
Like shadow tag or mean look in Pokemon. It could maybe override the retreating move effects too.
One of your moves could be Cardmaker, that could disable any special effects of item cards or moves in the current turn

Cleo's special could be armour stand, working like substitute from pokemon, sacrificing some hp to make a decoy, the decoy remains until it runs out of hp even if Cleo is switched to AFK
I love seeing pixlriffs on hermitcraft I know it’s not gonna happen but he should be a permanent member of hermitcraft
I can foresee a really good combo with shreep equipped with a retreat card, full health and swap main with an afk. Thats crazy because it gets around the “2 turn wait” and the “use consecutively” restriction.
Idea for Branch Mine: Since the point of a branch mine is to make a lot of different tunnels, you could have it be a split attack. Player can either choose to do full damage to Active player, or half damage to Active player and one AFK player.
Branch Mine: Flip a coin, if heads, the damage is split between the AFK Hermits (who you've mined to). If tails, damage the active Hermit.
Beef: I’ll only show you a few coz it’ll take too long showing every single one. And I won’t explain the moves.

for Slab for Etho: Deals Half the opposing Hermits HP (Rounded Down) IE: 300 -> 150 -> 80 -> 40
I feel like Cleo’s special needs to be either Statues or The Horde, but in either case, there’s either a dice roll or several coin flips which determines how many statues or zombies attack the opponent for 10hp each. I think max is 6 for 60hp.

Hermitcraft TCG Expansion: Emperors and Helsmits
Grian's card move "Borrow" should be called "Lag" lol... It just lags into his inventory. I love the Aussie ping. Probably my favorite card move name. So much memories just reading the move names. There's so much history to this game and for somebody who's been watching for years, it's so nostalgic.
I feel like Zedaph's special move has to be something very risky, in theme with Zedvancements or his general experimental exploits. Almost like Stress' YOLO, but obviously not the same - mayhaps a double or nothing damage on coin flip or apply effect (like burning or whatever else you have planned) to either player or opponent, again on coinflip?
Cleo I feel could have something similar to timeloop, basically changing people into statues, giving the opponent basically the effect of Shreep? But idk if that's not too derivative at this point.
for beef's card: something like "totally not canadian" (abbreviated somehow) where if etho is on the bench you can roll to see if the next attack doubles or misses entirely
"Team Canada" might also work for a move like that

I dont expect beef to make all the empires cards cause obvious reasons but maybe if he feels like it, since pix does the hermitcraft recap, an ultra rare pixlriffs card could go in circulation

Move: Side Hustle.
Roll twice. First heads increases damage by +25dmg, second heads heals +50hp. Each tails that hits -25hp.
Outcomes
HH = +25DMG,+50HP
HT = +25DMG,-25HP
TT = -25HP,-25HP
TH = -25HP,+50HP (+25HP)

The world download will probably be the best world download in the entirety of hermitcraft just from this game alone plus so much more I'm going to be blown away
I don't know how balanced it would be, but here's my idea for Cleo's special move.
It would be called Armor Stand and after its played, every turn you flip a coin. If heads, all damage taken is halved (being soaked up by the armor stand); if tails, the armor stand is destroyed. I think something like that could be cool.

Hey Beef I have a suggestion on how to add a bit more strategy to Rendog's special move on his rare card.
Instead of Ren's special move constantly changing to what the opponent's active Hermit's special move is, it should be a one time change to the effect of the first active Hermit until making Ren AFK (put Ren on the bench).
For example if your opponent's active Hermit is a Rare Xisuma card and you make your Rare Rendog your active Hermit your Rendog's special move will become Cup of Tea until you make Ren AFK.
This would also make Tango's Flee With Extra Flee move a good counter to Ren's special move as you can force Ren to become AFK resulting in losing the copied ability.
Maybe for Cup of Tea, Xisuma has statuses removed, or heals 20 if not affected by a status.

the "take it easy" move could call for a coin flip, on heads, your opponent cannot attack next turn, and on tails nether player can attack on their next turn
Man, Zed has become one of my favourite hermits by now, but I can't think of good stuff for him. Maybe Crazy contraption, Zedvancement, (pink) sheep, muggety goodness, wiggly worm/worm man,...?
Also 4 ancient debris give you one ingot, so there's not much you can do with just 2, beef ;-)
For Cleo's special, it could be something like:
"Armor Double"
Or some type of play on her armorstand specialties.
The effect would be:
After using that attack, if she is attacked, they have to flip a coin to see if they hit her or her armor stand double
you could do a card pack subscription where a hermit pays a certan amount of diamonds per week or month to get packs instead of just selling them to prevent a few hermits getting much more cards then others and to slow the whole process down a little bit which would be more fun in my opinion
Beef! You can add status effects through splash potions and status effect arrows. Splash Potions could randomly hit any opposing Hermit, including the Active and AFK Hermits, whilst a status effect arrow could just target the Active Hermit. It would let you use things like Poison for damage over time, Weakness to half or minus attack power, or even Slowness to do something like preventing, for maybe a turn, the opposing Hermit from becoming AFK or a status effect card being played!
Branch Mine could be like the move “Dig” where the opponent’s attack on the first turn misses and on the second turn does damage 100x the number of miner types AFK.
Possible idea moves for Vintage Beef:
1) ure mah gawd Beef
2) Seared Beef
3) Map collector (this one can be a special where you take, only for the round, control of one opponents card)
For your card, you could have you special move relate to your game ‘ABBA Rules’, where each player flips a coin, and whoever gets heads takes the others effect or item cards :)
First set: Hermits
Second set: INVASION from the Empire(s)
Last episode you brought up the idea of making cards for some of the hermits alter-egos like Evil X and Helskight maybe you could do a sculk
infested one for Cubfan?
If Cub's Sculk-infested alter-ego gets included in a expansion pack, I think he would be in the same expansion as the rulers from Empires.

TFCs Branch Mine could be like: Search your deck for a specific card and put it in your hand or on top of your deck
It’s probably so surreal for Pix to be on Hermitcraft. Especially to see all of this in person instead of as a video.
For anyone who's wondering, the Piglin at the end instantly despawned after going through because there was someone else in the Overworld, but no one close enough for it to exist.
The more complicated explanation: with a few exceptions, neutral and hostile mobs like Piglins instantly despawn if they are in a loaded chunk farther than 128 blocks away from a player. When a mob or item goes through a Nether portal, it very briefly loads that area. So when the Piglin passed through, the area became loaded, but the nearest player in the Overworld was more than 128 blocks away, so it despawned.
XB the Theif stole the Enchanting Table.
I think a cool effect for branch mine would be something like this:
"User attacks and does 80 damage, then flips a coin, if heads, user attacks again and does 40 more damage, and can keep flipping for 40 damage consecutive attacks until they flip tails." Would be reminiscent of moves like fury attack, bullet seed etc
You can make TFC's Branchmine have the ability to spread the damage over all the cards of the opponents. So if the opponent has 4 hermitcards (1 active, 3 AFK) the 80 damage does 20 to all of them!

Your special move should be "Game master. All cards in play for both players shuffle back into the deck. Draw 2."

Aaaaaaw I dunno why but that Pixlriffs & Beef colab was so sweet! Maybe cause Pixl was gushing as much as I would hahahaha I do hope we get an empire's expansion pack, but I recon the Empirians would need to source their own audience for move names cause most people here won't know them well enough yet
This is one of the most amazing things ive ever seen done in Minecraft, I really hope Mojang or someone amazing out there creates this into a actual game or a mod of some sort
