Tom Latham (New Zealand Captain): "We will bat first. It looks a good surface. Hopefully, we can put some runs on the board. Focusing on this Test. We did well in Bengaluru and Pune. But now the focus is on this one. Test Cricket is a funny game. We did not play badly against Sri Lanka. We have tried to keep things simple and play our brand of cricket. Whether you are batting first or bowling first, you have to play well. Sodhi and Henry come in for Southee and Santner. Santner has a side strain.

Mohammed Siraj has marked his run-up and looks like he will replace Jasprit Bumrah in the playing XI for India.
