great reaction! i also pick up those really cool guitar and drum fills. i think this song goes harder than any of her other rock inspired songs before. would love to see you react to the rest of the new GUTS (spilled) deluxe tracks - they have such different fun sounds
Nice reaction Jacob. She certainly utilizes a lot of different cinematic techniques along with the dynamics of the music etc., to get the story across, and it works really well. One thing you might be interested in checking out is a series of videos by Echosmith, my favorite band. They released a new, self titled album last summer and have recently been uploading videos for each song on the album where they explain a little about the origins / meaning of the song and how it came to be, along with a live ish performance of the song. I know you like that kind of behind the scenes stuff, as well as listening to a cover or non studio version of a song before hearing the official version, so it’d be cool to see reactions to those, if you’re interested! If you do want to check them out, I’ll link the first one here (it’s called “The Space Between: Episode 1” about their song “Sour”) th-cam.com/video/RIYL1Lwd3vA/w-d-xo.htmlsi=tZsBR_CJ9s2BkQdM
The lyrics to this describe the symptoms of a lesser-known condition called Retroactive Jealousy. The release of this song is going to be extremely helpful in raising awareness
@@JacobRestituto all of the girls in the video wear sashes that say who they were to Olivia’s boyfriend like “miss put him in therapy” or “miss freshman year”, they also wear white to symbolise how pure and perfect they are compared to what Olivia thinks about herself and in the ending when she’s vacuuming she is basically cleaning up the mess they made, this also symbolises how she’s cleaning up their mess in her relationship like after it’s ended she has to pick up the pieces.

You obviously didn't read any of the sashes on the girls which is why you were confused about the end credit
