This is why I love La Dispute. This song's story is an immense and incredible metaphor for people who go through these kinds of personal struggles, along with the other songs. It's brilliant. At first, I just loved this album for the great playing and delivery, stories(on a surface level, not really relatable level), and super creative songwriting. I never even thought I could relate to this "author" until seeing this video series. I love how this song isn't really a song about religion but more so about attachment, abandonment, true colors, etc. As a non-religious guy(doesn't really have anything to do with it), I can get behind that. As a person, I can get behind that.
I always forget that they are from Grand Rapids. So close to home and such a wonderful band. They never stop amazing me and their music always gives me chills.

This is so fucking brilliant. How can Jordan tackle such ambitious ideas so well. He's a genius man.
