    WELL DONE BEN!!
The 3rd edition of the West of Kentucky Bourbon series from Sonoma County Distilling hit the US shelves in September 2016.
This California bourbon was made from a mashbill of 60% unmalted Midwest corn, 35% unmalted Canadian rye, and 5% malted Wyoming barley. After aging at least a year in new, charred American oak barrels, it's bottled at 46% ABV.

Thanks for the info! For something so young it really is very good indeed!

BTW Binny's is a huge chain based in Chicago that has 38 locations throughout Illinois, mostly near Chicago. They market special releases under their own label, so it might be something for G&M to check out. They do carry G&M bottlings, along with other IBs.

Bringing back a smoked (with beechwood) whisky from Bavaria and a 5 year German whisky (Zigler). Plus a Peated Glendronach. Will let you know nosing and tasting notes.

Beechwood? Sounds unusual. Let me know what it's like!

A Dram A Day Yep, they do a smoky beer that way too. More like burning leaves than a campfire. Peat is a protected resource but plenty of beechwood.
