Motsoaledi welcomes ruling on ID blocking

- Home Affairs Minister Dr Aaaron Motsoaledi says he had begun the
process of asking the departmen's officials to look into the blocking
of IDs.
The North Gauteng High Court on Tuesday ruled that the department's
decision to block IDs without notice and appeal processes, is
unconstitutional.
He explains.

If these people have a heart, they eill come up with a campaign to compensate the people who can prove that they were affected by their IDs being blocked. I believe a lot of innocent people were affeted unfortunately.

Minister yes you are right by blocking the IDs I, I've a lot of foreigners who've got two IDs.if is in his country he is using his Zim IDs,when is in SA he is using SAs I'D how come this happens

The analysis of the Minister is on point... I'm impressed by how he articulated himself on the subject judgement and proposing initiatives regarding making provision the blocking in one of the legislation/s to avoid administration action being dismissed because it is not inline with section 172 of the Constitution.

Tge issue of the banks colllapsing bcs of someone id being blocked n unblocked is suspecious n without logic n common sense. If a persons id is blocked the person looses access to the bank facility once unblock he get back to banking system. When it comes of fraudulent activities due to double id thats for police to sort out.

Banks won't collapse with people banking with them! Contrary banks will collapse when people are stopped from banking because of ID blocked
The growth of any economy needs the banks to collect as many much of clients as capable and possibly to bank and circulat the money and for that to happen give people the right of banking by creating ways and mechanism for such please minister see things positively
If somebody is suspected to have acquired an ID fraudulently then they are possibly a criminal hence the threat to the banking system.
