BTW, your channel helped me try GLP again. I was on Saxenda and it didn't do much, just 15 lbs in 8 months. I hadn't heard of Tirzepitide and I am so thankful that my health insurance's constant denials is no longer in charge of my decisions. My obesity can be remedied and I'm in charge, thanks to compound pharmacies and telehealth. It's so nice speaking to my Mochi provider, Dr. Franchell Hamilton who is a board certified obesity medicine specialist and bariatric surgeon. She gets it!!! So many of my doctors I've had don't get it.
Thank you both for sharing with honesty and kindness your experiences on the GLP 1s…Your have brought hope and comfort to many people who have suffered for years ❤ You gave me the courage to start … I’m down 14 pounds in 30 days.
I have been enjoying this format of “tete-a-tete” you have been sharing with us. It provides a window into your authentic selves. I appreciate you both, and am THANKFUL for all you do!❤❤
Started Mountjaro in October after a consult with KU Lipid Clinic. My cholesterol was sky high. I have lost 22 lbs and feel so much better. No more food noise in my head. Had a great Thanksgiving, enjoyed all the delicious food in moderation. So happy.
This was so relatable. Laraine, a lot of the things that you struggled with were the same exact things that I struggled with. I am truly thankful for this medication and the GLP-1 community for making me feel less alone. Thanks for all you and Christopher do! Have a Happy Thanksgiving. Health is truly something to be thankful for. ♥
Happy Thanksgiving, guys! I’m thankful for my health. I went and ran a 5K this morning and feel fantastic. I’ve always done that, even when overweight, but today it felt amazing. I’m thankful for MJ, which has helped me do all the things that I always knew I needed and wanted to do. I agree about confidence…I’ve always been confident, but now it feels authentic. I’m thankful for TH-cam and TikTok, that have given me a community where I can learn and get support. Of course, I’m thankful for The Downsized-Laraine & Christopher-you have done an amazing job of keeping us all informed, entertained, and motivated. I’m so glad I’ve gotten to know you and be a part of this crazy adventure. Love you guys! 😘
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! So thankful for this journey together and thanks to LD and CD for this channel and trusted communication and support of us all getting to our healthy version of ourselves. I ran/walked a 5k turkey trot with my 21 year old daughter and kept up! Feels so good to live life again- doing the things I enjoy! 🏃♀️🍗💗
I went on Wegovy for most of the reasons you talked about. I’m glad you mentioned obesity as a disease because society always looked at overweight people as failures and I felt like one because I tried it all. I’ve lost 11.6 pounds in two weeks, and I feel confident that this medication will work for me.This lifestyle gives me freedom. I’m not worrying about what to eat or what not to eat.
Hello from Canada and Happy Thanksgiving. I have been on Ozempic for 9 months & have lost 67 pounds. We've already had our Thanksgiving but I am still so thankful for Ozempic - and your channel.
I want the health related benefits to get more prevalence in the news. As I’ve heard say, you come for the weight loss, but then see what it does for your overall health. After a heart attack, 2 knee replacements, and now breast cancer, I am convinced if I’d had these meds in my 50s, and had the 40-50 lbs weight loss, I wouldn’t have had those issues. To have the dr say, continue to diet and exercise as he handed me my handful of medications just wasn’t working. So thankful to be off many now.
"It's not your fault"...very powerful, thank you! I'm watching your video's from the beginning...but I did go out of order to watch this one. I am really glad I did. ***IT'S NOT YOUR FAULT"***
I first heard that said on the Oprah special in March. And I cried. It was the first time I heard that obesity is a disease and it wasn’t my fault. I want everyone to know this. ❤️
This was an excellent discussion-thank you!! I count many blessings this year and feel so positive about better health due to glp1 and great communities like yours.
Yes, we all have so much to be thankful for! This weightloss solution is a BIG one. I think we all have in common that losing weight is on the forefront of our minds constantly, every year. This year is different. IT IS WORKING and we can actually KEEP IT OFF with maintenance. THAT IS A HUGE GIFT we can all embrace. Now, I can think about other important things besides my weight????!! HOW LIBERATING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!🎉🎉🙏❤
Had my first Mochi visit today, I am thankful for both of you, you both have given me so much information and inspiration since I started in October. Thank you both! Denise
There is so much I‘m thankful for: For Mounjaro which enabled me to loose 66 lbs and get so much more healthy than I was; for my husband who supports me 100%, for my own strength to start this journey and be active again…. Plus I‘m greatful for the time and energy you put into your videos- Due to your videos I‘m always up to date on the latest glp1 news and also love to get to know your story and the story of the people you interview. Thank you🌸
Happy Thanksgiving I'm so thankful for this medication and the improvement of my blood sugar levels although I haven't lost as much weight as I want because I'm a T2 diabetic and 65yrs. I'm thankful I've lost 17lbs since starting on Mounjaro in March. Thanks for your channel 👍🏾
Everything you have mentioned I have experienced also! Especially the food noise and the sudden brain signal of fullness. I’m done and push the plate away😊. Never had that happen before, there was always room for dessert. Now sweet tooth has almost disappeared.
Just an FYI. I tell all my friends about your LuLu Lemon story and they were horrified! All ages shapes and sizes it didn’t matter we all felt your pain. We vowed never to shop there in your honor! Another movement has started!
I’m so thankful to you both for the Mochi referral. I absolutely love the company and have saved so much money using them vs. a medical group supplying compounded semaglutide: $179 per month rather than $460! And same for my husband!!! You both are very relatable to me. I have been on maintenance for 2 1/2 years!!! I started at age 71! Since I started with every diet under the sun since I was 17 years old, this med has been a miracle to me. Question for Laraine: I had continued going to monthly weigh in at Weight Watchers just to keep my lifetime status for the first year of maintenance. I finally quit because the meeting just kept that “diet” mentality activated! I know you mentioned at one point you still attend meetings. Why? I weigh in at home now and find it so much more freeing to know that I am accountable, no one else!
I still go to WW about 1x/month. I talk about my glp1 journey and have directed several on how to start tirzepatide. I just hit lifetime in July, so it hasn’t been that long. I’ve been going to this same meeting specifically now for almost 2 years. I’m sure I’ll be “over it” at some point. But for now I want to tell them all about glp1’s.
Unfortunately I have not had the positive results that you have. No real side effects. Just weight gain and tiredness. Hopefully the expense will be worth it soon. Blessings 🙏😎🐊🛺🇺🇸

Saxenda did nothing for me. But trizepetide is amazing! 🤩

FYI Lane Bryant is still in business. There’s a store close to my house in Southern California.
There's one here in Michigan, too.
Thanks for the info!
Thank you for all the work you put into your TH-cam channel. You present the information in a way that is easy to understand and you also make it fun!
I appreciate that!

How long have you been on it? Some people need to get to the higher doses to get results. Talk to your doctor
