It is so quick, I went frame by frame to catch it. I am wondering the significance of showing the blonde Tae, and now the Tae with the black running down his neck and temple. I do not think that is suppose to be blood.

Wearing red is a symbol,of the coat his mother bought for him when he went to Seoul with his dad to start as a trainee. I do think the mv is very autobiographical with many references to past songs either with bts or as a solo. But it’s the loneliness aspect which really hits you and the way he’s partying and celebrating him and then everyone moves gradually away from him. Does he feel that people, aren’t genuine with him? The people at the party are a wide range of ages, genders and nationalities; are they fans/Army? The realisation that red V is also a creation from a sculpture is quite disturbing to me. Your reaction was pretty much the same for most of us. You have to watch it a multiple times to understand. Also the crying V is also a mannequin( you will see an X mark on his neck). The “ dark V” is the real V who is hurting inside. I scoured through many comments in many reaction videos and this is what made sense to me. I thought it was such a cry out for help. I just hope he has found his inner peace . I hope he has truly found his peace.❤❤
Thoughts? I picture it as Tae creating V, the persona. Him walking and dancing by himself, in the theater (the performer), walking with a teddy bear (the child in him),. the crowd he's dancing with are the people in his life that have influeed him (Grandma). And in the end, he discovers "paradise" when he finally sees his creation of V and somewhat accepts it that it's definitely a part of him. Still just my thought. Winter is Tae's favorite season and, through it all, when winter comes, he still feels warmth even in the cold because he knows he will always have his creation with him. So the girl is also a part of him, his many facets of his persona. Truly a masterpiece!

I see it really differently than others. I know the Pygmalion myth. V really is a sculptor, and creates a statue so beautiful that she comes to life. But he leaves her in the studio [to go to his birthday party] and when he returns she is a statue again. He remembers his past and normal life (dark V has the same hairstyle as Friends live clip) and is overwhelmed by sadness. Sure, there are easter eggs, but Army tends to dig for those and forget the basic plot.

Art king..the teary eyes and vulnerable expression... the subtle villain smirk... the aura... ACT KIM TAEHYUNG !! I'm speechless. I don't have words to describe this masterpiece that Taehyung has made.! He sculpted a woman, embodying his softness, kindness, and innocence. This creation led him to a realization: it wasn't about the woman but about his own self. Ultimately, he found peace in his reality.! I remember RM saying in one of their BE-hind stories: "Kim Taehyung the man who rejects what's normal" and this really shows how unique he is.. V the creator is alone and lonely. Thus his creation, V the sculpture, started out like him when he came to life. But he created a woman to be his companion. There were moments in the MV showing sad/lone moments and moments when the sculpture V was living a "happy" life. But this was to end when his creator found him. Everything meant that his life (sculpture V) had not been real. Thus, he cried and it was heartbreaking.

This MV was based on a mythical Greek story of Pygmalion a statue maker who built a statue of a woman so pretty & lifelike he falls in love with her. V's acting is superb, again showcasing what a diverse artist he is!! His voice & Park Yo Shin's voices blended so well together. Hybe just released the official MV of the 2 singing together. I'm pretty sure movie directors in Korea will be vying to cast V in movies or a Kdrama as soon as he's discharged. Tae can do it all, he is so unique & creative in how he presents his MV's. 😍💜👍👏

I had a similar reaction the first time I watched it lol I probably missed about 70% of the music because I was so focused on the video 🤣 It also reminds me kinda of Slow Dancing when they're all in the van and they take that picture with the polaroid and when he looks at it, it's just all duplicates of himself. In both he imagines this perfect life but then finds out it's all fake 😔 Poor V can never catch a break in his videos lol
V the sculptor made V the statue (of himself), along with the girl statue (or it could also be the V statue, acting as alterego of the V sculptor, the one who sculpted the girl). V sculptor, who is himself alone and lonely, must be projecting his own desires to be with someone in his V statue. Thus, when the V statue came to life, he imagined living the life, ie, going around, feeling the wind, being awed by other lives (like the butterfly), partying, being with a girl, even celebrating a birthday. But that will end, and thus the heartbreaking sadness in V’s eyes when he realized he is not real. This is when you see the girl disappearing and even his face in the mirror partly turning into stone. The sculptor V is bloodied. This may relate to the scene where he showed frustration and broke some of his works in the workshop or his own brokenness. The scene where V was scratching his undereye is also projected in his sculpture of himself. This is what I think at least. Right or wrong, the MV is brilliant. It evokes many thoughts even after watching the MV, and has real depth. V’s acting is so effective. I can still feel sadness for his character seeing his expression. V’s vocal harmony with PH is superb! Overall visual is unparalleled throughout the video. V is Korea’s best talent and treasure!

This is a masterpiece and Taehyung has created a unique art, everything is so perfect, his voice, his feelings, his appearance... How can a person be this perfect!! as taehyung blew out the candles, he was transported to reality and the scene shifted from the warm banquet hall to the cold wilderness. and yet after a moment of confusion, he accepts the change and continues dancing. until.. he cant. the denial becomes too hard to maintain...this is such a fascinating sequence and such a stellar work of filmmaking and editing!! This takes me back to his album. He was also making clay figurines in Rainy Days. And, I think in Slow Dancing, he was creating a universe where he was running around happy with his friends. *Here is a fellow Army’s theory, on the mv & lyrics… this does not belong to me… but I find it a very interesting theory* My theory about Winter Ahead is that it beautifully intertwines the Pygmalion myth, with a deeply personal twist. Taehyung’s character seems to live a lonely life, crafting sculptures he pretends are his companions to escape solitude. But the heartbreaking revelation is that he wasn’t just creating others-he was sculpting himself too. The sculptures are fragments of his soul and his emotions. On his birthday he dances with them and the woman he loves with but as he blows out the candles they begin to fade away. As darkness envelopes him he notices a light and someone approaching him, that's Tae himself! His tears reflect the realization, the bittersweet acceptance that he is a sculpture himself marked by the X mark under his ear. Your reaction was pretty much the same for most of us. You have to watch it a multiple times to understand. Also the crying V is also a mannequin( you will see an X mark on his neck). The “ dark V” is the real V who is hurting inside. I scoured through many comments in many reaction videos and this is what made sense to me. I thought it was such a cry out for help. Thoughts? I picture it as Tae creating V, the persona. Him walking and dancing by himself, in the theater (the performer), walking with a teddy bear (the child in him),. the crowd he's dancing with are the people in his life that have influeed him (Grandma). And in the end, he discovers "paradise" when he finally sees his creation of V and somewhat accepts it that it's definitely a part of him. Still just my thought. Winter is Tae's favorite season and, through it all, when winter comes, he still feels warmth even in the cold because he knows he will always have his creation with him. So the girl is also a part of him, his many facets of his persona. Truly a masterpiece!

I see it really differently than others. I know the Pygmalion myth. V really is a sculptor, and creates a statue so beautiful that she comes to life. But he leaves her in the studio [to go to his birthday party] and when he returns she is a statue again. He remembers his past and normal life (dark V has the same hairstyle as Friends live clip) and is overwhelmed by sadness. Sure, there are easter eggs, but Army tends to dig for those and forget the basic plot.

V the creator is alone and lonely. Thus his creation, V the sculpture, started out like him when he came to life. But he created a woman to be his companion. There were moments in the MV showing sad/lone moments and moments when the sculpture V was living a "happy" life. But this was to end when his creator found him. Everything meant that his life (sculpture V) had not been real. Thus, he cried and it was heartbreaking.
And this song perfectly shows why his voice is my bias 🥰😎💜 I’m a sucker for his dark melted chocolate baritone anyway but I just dissolved listening to this song 🫠 and next week we get to hear him with freaking BING CROSBY on “White Christmas” 🎄❄️🤩 do you think they’ll put Bing on the K-pop chart because Tae is on it?🤔🤭😂

This MV was based on a mythical Greek story of Pygmalion a statue maker who built a statue of a woman so pretty & lifelike he falls in love with her. V's acting is superb, again showcasing what a diverse artist he is!! His voice & Park Yo Shin's voices blended so well together. Hybe just released the official MV of the 2 singing together. I'm pretty sure movie directors in Korea will be vying to cast V in movies or a Kdrama as soon as he's discharged. Tae can do it all, he is so unique & creative in how he presents his MV's. 😍💜👍👏

I had a similar reaction the first time I watched it lol I probably missed about 70% of the music because I was so focused on the video 🤣 It also reminds me kinda of Slow Dancing when they're all in the van and they take that picture with the polaroid and when he looks at it, it's just all duplicates of himself. In both he imagines this perfect life but then finds out it's all fake 😔 Poor V can never catch a break in his videos lol

I was wondering the story behind this MV! it is so beautiful and so cinematic💜
V the sculptor made V the statue (of himself), along with the girl statue (or it could also be the V statue, acting as alterego of the V sculptor, the one who sculpted the girl). V sculptor, who is himself alone and lonely, must be projecting his own desires to be with someone in his V statue. Thus, when the V statue came to life, he imagined living the life, ie, going around, feeling the wind, being awed by other lives (like the butterfly), partying, being with a girl, even celebrating a birthday. But that will end, and thus the heartbreaking sadness in V’s eyes when he realized he is not real. This is when you see the girl disappearing and even his face in the mirror partly turning into stone.
The sculptor V is bloodied. This may relate to the scene where he showed frustration and broke some of his works in the workshop or his own brokenness.
The scene where V was scratching his undereye is also projected in his sculpture of himself.
This is what I think at least. Right or wrong, the MV is brilliant. It evokes many thoughts even after watching the MV, and has real depth. V’s acting is so effective. I can still feel sadness for his character seeing his expression.
V’s vocal harmony with PH is superb! Overall visual is unparalleled throughout the video. V is Korea’s best talent and treasure!
I was just looking at you while enjoying the music of TAEHYUNG and HYO SHIN. Yes, this is incredibly insane. The MV is beautifully conceptualized and Taehyung acting every scenes like a great actor. Taehyung's voice is indeed very beautiful. I'm in awe of this new song from Taehyung!
This is a masterpiece and Taehyung has created a unique art, everything is so perfect, his voice, his feelings, his appearance... How can a person be this perfect!! as taehyung blew out the candles, he was transported to reality and the scene shifted from the warm banquet hall to the cold wilderness. and yet after a moment of confusion, he accepts the change and continues dancing. until.. he cant. the denial becomes too hard to maintain...this is such a fascinating sequence and such a stellar work of filmmaking and editing!! V !!!

Есть предположение, что Ким Техен в клипе играет Пигмалиона. "Миф: Пигмалион решил оставаться безбрачным и заняться скульптурой. Он сделал скульптуру женщины, которую нашел настолько идеальной, что влюбился в нее. Афродита исполнила желание Пигмалиона. Пигмалион женился на скульптуре из слоновой кости, которая по благословению Афродиты превратилась в женщину." Но в самом клипе светлая сторона Ким Техена оказывается скульптурой и это отчетливо понятно, когда он встречает темного Ким Техена. В конце клипа приходит осознание и принятие того факта, что он не настоящий, что все это было нереально… (со слезами на глазах). НО будет еще один клип, который выйдет 30 ноября, уже с участием двух артистов!!!!!

Here again he is creating this girl to be with him. And maybe the other clay figures too. My theory about Winter Ahead is that it beautifully intertwines the Pygmalion myth, with a deeply personal twist. Taehyung’s character seems to live a lonely life, crafting sculptures he pretends are his companions to escape solitude. But the heartbreaking revelation is that he wasn’t just creating others-he was sculpting himself too. The sculptures are fragments of his soul and his emotions. On his birthday he dances with them and the woman he loves with but as he blows out the candles they begin to fade away. As darkness envelopes him he notices a light and someone approaching him, that's Tae himself! His tears reflect the realization, the bittersweet acceptance that he is a sculpture himself marked by the X mark under his ear. Taehyung’s artistry is pure poetry, and his storytelling leaves an ache in the heart...

В итоге герой не может выйти за пределы места создания (особняка) - тоже в конце понятен его испуг при неудавшейся попытке выйти. Он навсегда останется созданием, блестящим, сияющим, но заключенным в искусственно созданный мир.
