Thanks for sharing Keith, I am at the age where I cut my teeth with film, especially B&W, and enjoyed the magic of the darkroom. While the technology has greatly improved, the fundamentals of photography remain the same and there is much to learn from photographers from all eras and genres.
Yes agree about the book reviews. A tonic for the troops as such. In the mid eighties I was fascinated with photo journalism and photographers from periods like the sixties and seventies. Some pass it as street photography these days but it was so much more.
Hello, I'm not sure of any other way to contact you besides commenting...but I've been watching a ton of your videos...Thank you!!! ... I purchased the canon pro-200 but it was too dark to use on my watercolor prints with the cotton rag paper. I'm soo confused on what to purchase. I've read the pigment ink is best for cotton rag, so im deciding between the canon pro 300 and the canon 1000. My main purpose will be prints of my watercolor mainly on greeting cards or actual prints, which was why I was leaning towards the 17" 1000 printer, but also read the pro 300 is better for getting cards...I'm so confused...if price is no factor for what I need, what would you suggest? Anyway you could please help me I would soo greatly appreciate it. I don't want to purchase the wrong printer x2!! Thank you! ❤
Read the actual [written] reviews - the videos are just supplements ;-) Start here... www.northlight-images.co.uk/canon-pro-300-printer-review/ The 200 is not 'too dark' unless you are sending a too dark image to it or using a wrong type of paper - the key is using profiles on proper inkjet papers. See here www.northlight-images.co.uk/canon-pro-200-printer-review/ All the profiles from my testing are available on request [email via Northlight]
@@KeithCooper wonderful! Thank you so much for taking your time to respond 💕 -- do you have any reads on the canon 1000. I'm concerned about greeting card making💜💜💜
Ah - I've been writing reviews/articles for 20 years - the videos not yet 3 years ;-) www.northlight-images.co.uk/canon-pro-1000-printer-review/ and www.northlight-images.co.uk/photography-articles-and-reviews/printing-paper-reviews-articles/
@@KeithCooper well they are absolutely wonderful, im finding the articles Sooo helpful! Its just a hard decision between the 300 and 1000🤔🙃 I threw the epson out because the nozzle head replacement was a concern💜💜 maybe ill just flip a coin because both are great haha
I'd just note that printhead replacement is a bit of a non-issue IMHO. Two completely different technologies - one is designed to be replaced as it wears out, the other is meant to last for the life of the printer
Book reviews like this are wonderful: keep them coming.
Thanks...

Glad you enjoyed it - I too started on B&W film whilst at school ;-)
Would love to see a weekly book review
Thanks - I've quite a few I want to cover - I'll move it up the to-do list
its a good subject, one name that comes to mind these days doing photojournalism is Jared Polin.
Thanks

Yes, it's making a story - and what's more, one that will sell!
