Service centre agrees that many mobiles are suffering this issue due to software update and they are ready to replace screen for free if head office VOC team agrees. But, VOC TEAM rejected my case saying that it was due to impact damage. This is completely absurd. Because the service centre has sent a report of my mobile (sought by HO team) where in they have clearly mentioned the issue as TECHNICAL ISSUE. But HO team falsely closing cases individually even though I have submitted screenshots of similar problems from Samsung members forum. Another interesting event. As soon as I told customer care executive that my display has a green line, he did not ask me if I dropped my mobile. Rather, he asked me an interesting question. DID YOU UPDATE YOUR MOBILE TO LATEST SOFTWARE PROVIDED BY SAMSUNG? Strange right? U say that ur display failed and he asks about software update. Yet Samsung pretends individually that it is unaware of this global display quality issue. Shame on you SAMSUNG. Unethical practice and pure forgery and scam.
I think it's some sort of software/GPU usage issue. When I try to backup my device using Smart Switch, the screen goes back to normal after going to white screen. I also noticed that what triggers the screen to go white/green is when I use apps that might be demanding to the graphics and leave them open in the background. Not sure if that's actually accurate but that's what I remember before the screen goes haywire.
yes i think thats a problem, when i opened youtube the greenline was starting to appear and when i closed the apps the greenline was gone and i was trying to call *#0*# the greenline was gone and i opened another apps the greenline started to appear on my screen and till now on my screen fck
Yes. My S20+ did not had any single scratch , it looked like new after 1.5 years. I had green lines on display before last 1 week which had disappointed me as I was a big fan of Samsung. I got free display replacement within 5 days although it is out of warranty.. WOW. Samsung is great, will stick to Samsung mobiles for next 10 years now, my respect with Samsung product is increased !!

@@ryzekm84 i think it is a software issue not an issue with the screen itself. It's prevalent in exynos variant phones. Firmware update, hard reset, or clearing cache partition might help.

2 days b4 I upgrade my S20plus then green vertical line appeared on the center of the screen phone works normal but vertical thin line distract me only solution to replace the display and its very expensive, even if u spend money is there guarantee that it won't happen again in future upgrade???? that's the reason I m not going to replace samsung S series phones really nice ..... its caused by a voltage flow irregularity that is most likely occuring when the display is set to 120hz for a long time. use 90-120hz rarely and it should prolong its life
Format ur phone into factory settings back...if u messing with ur apps and others settings including installation some other fixing apps..then i dont know what to say anymore

This procedure helped me have a normal screen it's a first aid not a total fix, white/green screen is still recurring.

there's no real solution the screen randomly back to normal our best bet is one ui 4 update if it is really is software issue

Plug into external monitor to enter Samsung Dex mode. Recommend also using keyboard and mouse.
This did not work for mine. I tried both ways, including factory reset, and there is still that green line at the middle of my Samsung S20+!
