Insym im pretty sure the Thaye timer can make it can almost instantly age when you go instead the house if the timer happens to be close to the 30 second mark
Back in the day, my favorite ghosts were a tie between the Revenant (because I love how the mere mention of the name "Revenant" sends chills down players' spines already) and, actually, the Shade, when it was still active around alone players, I really liked this concept After they nerfed the hell out of the Shade, the Phantom took its place as one of my two favorites But then the Deogen came around It is by far my favorite now! Honorable mentions to some ghosts I love playing against: Oni, The Twins, Wraith, Polter and Banshee
New players will most likely be playing on beginner/intermediate with the safety timer and on a small map. They'll probably be near the ghost/room aging the ghost not even know it. They'll probably like the Thaye more than experienced players!
also he is talking about exploiting the timer, but fails to consider the fact that you have to actually figure out what ghost it is before you can even start finding a way to cheese it. You'll be 5-10 in before you even realize its a thaye.
You’ll probably be able to change almost everything. I wouldn’t be surprised if you had the option to disable all special ghost behavior and made it so that you can only find the ghost out by their evidence
@@psyendacy maybe he meant to be able to change the %age of speed of all ghost types, like increasing the speed of all ghost by 25%, and same goes by every other stat, or something like that
@@tpd1864blake not to be rude, but why would you want to turn off special ghost behavior? isn’t that kinda the entire point of there being different ghosts?

@insym you have to remember that not all ghost hunters are up to your caliber, and while the Thaye's aging seems too easy for you, for less experienced ghost hunters, the timer seems much more balanced.
This, AND what the devs keep telling Insym. Not every ghost needs to be S-tier. Look at the Shade. Sure, it's boring, but it's a nice amateur-friendly ghost that gives people a breather from Revs and Demons and Jinns, or allows amateurs to kind of work on rhythm of the game. The game is intended to be enjoyable for a large audience (and it is), and sometimes that means adding ghosts that are much less intimidating for people who want stuff that isn't as much of a challenge.
@@Jaxv3r I'm 100% not joking I used to enjoy fortnite until it just got way too competitive. I get that some people enjoy playing pro but they also got to understand that some like to play casually. You have no idea how many people in that wretched community have disagreed.
@@TheBlackSpartan103 Why not both? There's varying difficulty settings after all and I think it'd be great if the devs actually adjusted each ghost depending on the difficulty - for example, Thaye's age progression could be really fast on amateur and really slow on nightmare. That way, we wouldn't have a problem with good players being bored to death and bad players being discouraged from playing. Custom difficulty settings could also fix this issue, but I feel like having players rely on it to enjoy the game would be... Lame? Idk, I feel like custom should be something special for challenges instead of everyday gameplay. Unless you're a madlad who wants everything @ the max, that is.
Thaye's aging if i read it correctly is ... 1st aging - starts only 1-2 mins "cooldown", then after it, if the player is inside the location, NEAR or INSIDE the ghost room, it'll succeed. If not, instead of waiting for another 1-2 mins, the check for the player condition is done again every 30 seconds ... but upon success, the 1-2 mins "cooldown" starts again ... during which the Thaye's age is locked in ... once it's ready to age, the timer is resets to check to only every 30 secs. Which means, the Thaye is made to be inclined towards aging instead of just judging on the player's proximity to itself and its room ... so imho, a Thaye is most likely to age in a small map than in a big map coz players will be all over it ... But ... that also means, for big maps, ie, brownstone, if the players haven't found the ghost room in time, the hunts will be insane ... coz it doesn't age until a player is near the ghost room... geezzzz....
@@cjdxn hey CJ! so ... if 1-2 mins cooldown has expired, it'll then check every 30s to see if there's a player IN the ghost room? - may I ask if being NEAR the ghost counts? or must we be IN the ghost room itself? thanks!
its a great thing that the devs released the secrets about the new ghosts 2 weeks after release because the new ghosts have so many abilities and secrets, and its fun to (mostly) discover most of the abilities/secrets at release :D
The thing to keep in mind about the Thaye weakness is that it is impossible to know when the age check is happening. You would have to camp out the room once you find it as long as possible to guarantee aging. And even if you found it was a Thaye and maximized time near them to ensure they age, it would take 10-20 minutes to get it down its lowest stats. 1-2 minute check, if player near age and choose new random interval between 1-2 minutes for next check, else check again in 30 seconds. So in your example initially, sure players could stay out of the house for 5 minutes and then come in and maybe force an aging cycle. But because of how the coding is set it would be another 9-18 minutes to get the Thaye to minimum stats. Sure, for a smaller location the Thaye can be easily neutered. But mid size and beyond and you have yourself a player killing machine.
When you think about it with the Thaye, that's equivalent to 5-7 minutes in the ghost room (assuming you stay in the whole time). That's a long time. That's probably why people only thought there were like 5 ages. Maybe an alternative route could be to add more ages but make each progression less punishing? Or even keep the same amount but have it be less punishing. Or even raise the beginning stats to balance out. Idk I'm no game designer.
I noticed right away that the Thaye had crazy dots. It just kept doing dots rapid fire instead of interacting with all the other things in the room. Never saw that with the Deogen (crazy dots) and also didn't notice anything regarding book writing with either ghost. I still love the Deogen with it's "red light, green light" gameplay. It's awesome to hear it racing towards your location and nearly freeze when it sees you. That is so much fun.
I think the Thaye should gain half a power stage back each time it fails to age, making it necessary for the players to keep hounding the ghost to keep it manageable. To balance it for solo players and small teams it could have a variable hunt threshold based on the number of players. If it has four ghost hunters trespassing on its territory and forcing it to age, it will be super aggressive and hunt at 75%, and maybe it could be 60% for solo players. If the players camp the ghost room it should have an increased chance of switching rooms.
That's a bit much. At that point it would feel like a Mimic or Demon...or literally any of the early hunters. The fun of Phasmo is that while it tries to give you lots of hints...it also keeps you guessing. If we just start forcing everything to feel like certain ghosts...lol we'd just be getting trolled every time. Never guessing right because you'd be forced to sit in the house the whole time just in case it could be a Thaye. If you mess up and without knowing the time it COULD age you'd go back to get gear...and suddenly it's back up half a stage. You finish setting up and another minute has passed by...you go back to the truck to grab your smudge and check your sanity. You assume it can't be a Thaye if it hunts now because it should've aged quite a bit already and you sanity is around 75%. You unknowingly have already made it go back to max even though you had been sitting in the ghost room for a while. I mean...you see where I am getting at? There is no real way to check on when the ghost could age. You can no longer grab more equipment the moment you think it's a Thaye. You may accidentally spend a whole minute in there...go grab equipment...fail a check and come back with equipment multiple times and be force to think you're dealing with some other Early Hunter and not a Thaye. I mean...you'd think that by the 10minute mark it would've aged SOME right. Phasmo runs are not meant to last 30mins each. They feel like on average they should last around 10mins. So the current setup feels right. You missed a check while grabbing equipment...30seconds later while you finish setting up the equipment you just brought in...the ghost has aged a bit and just in time to attempt to hunt you again.
When the Thaye tries to age up, I think the timer is saying that initially it will try to age every 1-2 minutes, and that if the check fails, it adds 30 seconds to the 1-2 minute timer. Making it to where if you don't have someone near the ghost room, (like if you need to go grab more tools), when the Thaye tries to age, it takes advantage of the player and makes it harder to gauge it's next age up time. Obviously I'm not a dev and I could be wrong, but that's just how I perceived it when I read it, since it does say it "adds 30 seconds". Maybe you could find a way to test this on a stream or something. Boom, content ; )
I'm so excited for custom difficulties now especially with everything that we know about these three new ghosts. I'm sure they will add fun and exciting ways to make really cool challenges.
I literally have a video uploaded about Deogen. I went into the house, found the board, asked 2 questions, my sanity dropped to 40%, the ghost started a hunt right behind me, I hid immediately (didn't know what it was yet) and died. xD It's a less than 3-minute long video WITH loading screens. xD Deogen is def. my favorite one.
In another one of your videos, Insym, you were talking about the Thaye and saying how cool it would be if it was actively trying to roam away from the player. I think this could be a core concept to really make the Thaye interesting if combined with a reworking of the aging system. Maybe it ages every 1-2 minutes if a player is nearby... however, once that phase initializes, it will teleport to a new location. The player could have 30 seconds (maybe longer on large maps?) or some set timer to re-enter the ghost area to activate the aging process. If the player fails to do this, that aging timer resets. The amount of times it ages may also have to be reduced too so that each successful aging is of more benefit to the player, since it would be much more difficult to accomplish I think? If some system like this could be made workable, it would create a setting where the player is actually trying to chase the ghost around, risking hunts and enduring its attempts to scare the player away, in order to weaken the ghost permanently. I feel like this would make a very interesting ghost with a lot of character and a potentially quite challenging. Maybe add in that feature where it regains an age level if it successfully hunts a player too like you had also mentioned before, Insym.
hey it's me again, the thaye pronunciation guy. i did a bit more research and not only is thaye pronounced "thuh-yeh" instead of "they" or "thigh", deogen is pronounced the same as the dutch phrase "de ogen", which means "the eyes", because it IS the dutch phrase "de ogen", which means "the eyes". it's not "dio-jen", it's more like, "duh-oghn". it's a really minor bit of trivia and i'm sure that "they" and "dio-jen" are already permanently cemented in the community's minds as how those words are pronounced. but it is a fun bit of trivia nonetheless. flex your dutch-speaking skills on us insym!
Deogen is Dynamaxed Myling ngl Our boy Moroi is just crazy, don't change Thaye needs to have longer periods between aging, or more years to age through (stat loss corrected to stay at mins at max age)
I think the Thaye's aging system is great for balancing small and big maps. On big maps you spend more time running around and going back to truck, So if it ages constantly when a player is close by, your sanity will drop much faster than Thaye's age.
I could never answer the question what my fav ghost would be but now I gotta say I loveee the Deogen 😄😂 the steamtrain is just too good. I love its concept, lore and meme potential. Plus how it also affects other Ghosts like Mimic, Thaye or generally finding the type out
About the Thaye, it feels like the goal is to make it hunt once at full strength, once next step and so on. Cause if you stay 2 minutes outside the ghost room in the dark + 30 seconds in the ghost room or what so, you will be below 75% and get zoomed on. The ultimate counter would be to have a candle from the very beginning of the game, but you cant just go and counter only the Thaye. And also on big maps it means you have to find the ghost room to stop it from rampaging. So i think it's actually a pretty cool design. Maybe it would be better to actually change the timer of aging a lil bit according to maps but thats hard to be sure of
Also the ghost room timer, on big maps ? Like if you need to stay 2 minutes in the ghost room of a rampaging Thaye, better have your pills and a candle. Or use lots of smudge sticks and survive several hunts. I mean, the Thaye is probably way cooler on big maps than smaller ones, and will be a nightmare for people who struggle finding the ghost room.
And if you really wanna make it stronger, just cut in half the decrease of stats each time it ages. If you can loop it now after 2 aging, it would be after 4 then. This would probably make it so much more stronger
no, every 2 minutes the ghost tries to age, if you are close, it will age, if u are too scared to bear near it, it will add 30 seconds to the 2 minutes it already waits, an so on. so if u stay away from the ghost it stays strong and if u avoid it the timer could get super high like 5-6 minutes to where it stays strong
so there is a constant timer running, and everytime you are next to it when the times hits zero it will age, if you are not near when it hits zero, it will add 30 seconds to the timer. So if the timer started at 2min, hits zero and you arent there, it will go to 2:30, it hits zero and u arent there, it will go to 3min
The Thaye aging I think is fine in it's current iteration so long as it's working as intended. On some maps a Thaye will be aged rather quickly but on medium and larger maps you have a much longer time that the Thaye will be at maximum power. Also, on the smaller maps where a Thaye would age very fast finding, out it is a Thaye, completing all the objectives and getting as many good pictures as possible before the Thaye ages much, especially in multiplayer, is not hard. The Thaye's strength lies in surprise or the players going in to do optional stuff after/while they figure out what the ghost is. The disconnect here is the way you view the ghosts and phasmophobia compared to how most of the playerbase plays the game. Most people I know who play Phasmo play it in a group, as you know increasing sanity drain. Where in single player finding the ghost room in 30seconds ~2 minutes tends to leave a single player with enough time to hang around and search for evidence in the room for a bit, by the time a team makes it there it may be dangerous to stay inside too much longer. Another thing to keep in mind is the average game length I've noticed with my team doing all objectives and attempting to get as many good photos as we can is under 20 minutes usually closer to 10~15 if the ghost is being tricky with it's evidence and under 10 if it's being nice. If people aren't constantly in the ghost room or using a timer to judge when the ghost is going to age that's most likely numerous failed aging attempts before it ages. Most groups I've seen or been in tend to shy away from the ghost room aside from when they need to be in there to gather evidence once again prolonging the aging stages. They Thaye is a very hit or miss ghost for some but it's a nice concept. I do think the Thaye should start with a 3~5 minute timer and then drop down to the 1~2 minute timer after the first "aging."
It’s be cool if the community successfully discovered enough things about the update by the end of the investigation period. We would get to vote on an Easter egg to be added to a map or something
This is exciting :D finally able to get a new headset next month. I'm preparing myself for not lasting very long in the game 🤣 haven't played since end of march. It always makes me happy seeing your updates ❤
I don’t know if it’s just me but a competitive mode sounds pretty cool. I just thought of it like 2 people could join a match and have 2 seperate trucks for each players equipments and you basically compete to figure out who can find what the ghost is first. All of the equipment in the trucks would be seperate but as soon as both players are in the house/building then all the interactive items would be shared so you could mess with eachother and try to get eachother killed maybe? It could be cool I think!
It could be a standalone game but I don't think that really fits in with what Phasmo is aimed at being, a cooperative ghost hunting game thats intended to be played with your friends, not against them. While a race mode could be cool depending on how its made and how it works, it would probably be better off being its own game than trying to be shoved into this one
The 'move very far away' is probably meaning 'end the mission'. I mean, it would be silly if it carried over to future missions until you took pills... and also more complex to code in. So yeah, they didn't need to mention it... but that is how I interpreted it. 11:50 - Sure, it ages within 30 seconds if a player enters the same room as it... but once it ages, it is 60-120 seconds to the next aging. 'Well, just walk out and come back, and it will age within 30 seconds again.' Okay, so it ages... it will be 60-120 second before it tries again... you walk out and wait 2 minutes, then step in to age it within 30 seconds. So... you just spend 120-150 seconds to age it. 12:30 - Or... now hear me out, you spent 11 minutes aging it twice... or you spend those 11 minutes in the room and age it at least 5 times. The only time that trick would work is if the ghost room is close enough to an exit so you can conserve sanity. 'Oh, but candle'... so, spend 11 minutes in the room with a candle. I feel like you are over valueing the weakness.
Example. The ghost room is the second basement room (deepest in) on Willow. 3 minutes in, you find it. In 30 seconds, you confirm it is the ghost room... it ages once. You drop everything and run for supplies... say it takes 3 minutes to get your next set, and you come set up. Put in dots, book, and look around with a camera. You spend like 3 minutes there and the ghost probably aged twice (age 3). You run back out, grab a few more items, then go search for the bone... maybe back to the room in like 6 minutes. Ghost ages to 4. You then poke around in the ghost room, waiting for dots or writing... but the ghost is hanging out in the hallway for 7 minutes (but it doesn't hunt), so it isn't the same room as a player... no aging. It walks back into the room as you go back out to get salt, but you missed the timer so it doesn't age. Run back to the truck, you are now in the truck and over 15 minutes. It is only age 4, and you still don't have any evidence. Grab some stuff and step into the house, and it hunts instantly... hiding in the living room, how fast does it sound? Example 2. You walk into willow and a painting in the living room gets thrown. You emf it, take a photo... hasn't been a minute and you run back to the truck. Grab dots and a book, come in and set them up, quick look with camera for orb... only been a minute, but it went to the kitchen, so it doesn't age. Grab more from the truck and put them in the living room, barely spending any time... then you run back outside and watch for dots or writing. You aren't in the house, so it still hasn't aged off you. You decide to grab a camera and go find the cursed item, so you run through in 5 seconds, and poke around the garage, then go check for the doll, then head into the basement. Where is the bone? Well, hit the basement breaker, and oh... there is the bone. Okay, time to go back up... reach the top of the stairs, and hunt begins... with a thaye that hasn't aged once. Maybe 7 minutes in. Example 3 : Let's best case scenario... you are playing co-op and walk into Willow. TV turns on, so ghost is here. One person stays in that room the whole time, taking pictures, watching for evidence. Meanwhile, the other player gets the breaker, finds the item and bone, brings stuff in from the truck. Within 10-20 minutes, with a player with the ghost the ENTIRE time since opening the house... the ghost is now aged 10, and is as slow as it can get. So... how often do you spend over 10 minutes in or near the ghost room, so you could have maybe spent 10+ minutes in the same room as the ghost? How often do you have freezing in one room, while all the interactions are happening in the next room over? I think it is fine as is. I rarely have runs over 15 minutes, and even rarer to be in the ghost room for over 10 minutes. Of the 7 thaye I've had, only 1 has been notably slow. Not a great sample, but I'm a filthy casual.
The problem with the Thaye's speed being dependent on time in the ghost room is that everyone has their own individual value in multiplayer, and if you would just add those values, the ghost would age faster with multiple people present. If you were to go off of an average value, but not have people be present within the ghost room at all... then you would have someone hurting your efforts outside of your control. Personally, I feel the best fix would be to have the timer be based on whether or not a player enters a sphere around the actual ghost itself. When a player enters that sphere, the timer will progress, and when there are no players within the sphere... the timer will pause and then resume when someone enters the ghost's sphere.
I think the way the Thaye was written was a little off. Though the way I understood it. It starts at 1, 1-2 minutes in the ghost room the ghost checks his age. If he stays 1, he has another chance to age after 30 seconds. Which that keeps repeating til he hits age 2. Then its starts over, another 1-2 minutes, age check, if failed check again in 30 seconds. Meaning to get to age 10, would be a minimum of 10 minutes. The the max being essentially 20, if you trying to make out with the ghost.
Would be cool if there was a ghost with like 5-6m/s movement speed and when it sees you during a hunt it will dissapear after like 2 to 4 seconds and you gotta just run quick. Maybe get a small hidey spot, maybe have it use it as a massive burst of speed kinda like a cheetah.
Thaye Simplified note. If the Player is in the Building, the ghost will Try to age every 1 -2 Minutes, it will fail and check again every 30 seconds Unless the Player is in the same Room /Close proximity in a large room. If the player is in Proximity it will age one step and procede to check again every 1-2 minutes as normal and age until the player Leaves proximity. if the player Is not in the Location / building the checks will pause
The timer constantly counts weather you are their or not however if it reaches 0 and you aren’t their it starts over it could very well age 1 second after you return
I would love the Thaye to be changed to where the timer doesn't tick down at ALL when players aren't in the location, and the timer should reset to a minute if it doesn't successfully age.
If the Thaye did not succeed to age, next timer will be 1-2 mins + 30 secs. Also, it's not that easy to estimate timing between 1-2 mins for players to try to age the ghost, you'll have to stay for a minute every 2 mins to be sure (also if it did not succeed you'll have to add 30 secs to that too). I think weakness is just fair to the ghost.
I think what they mean by the thaye adding 30 seconds is more like-- Every 1-2 minutes the Thaye will have a chance of aging, but if a player is not near it, the thaye will try to age again in 1-2 min + 30 seconds? I feel like the ghost would be too OP if they made it so that it aged even if no players were around it
Im sad that when it roamed to the car it was a bug, since the deogen is known to leave bloody handprints on the car. ALSO should add a chance to roam to the car bedroom and leave prints on the back which will be red (like 0.1%)
Phasmophobia needs an official web site where all the official details of how the ghost should work (as detailed by the devs) can be explained in "spoiler text"
I'm just gonna say that the crucifix should also have another use, which would be that if you're holding it in your hand and the ghost is hunting, if it gets to you, you can survive certain death, but the crucifix would be entirely consumed.
I don't think you fully understood the Thaye timer? every 1 to 2 minutes it tries to age, if it can't then 30 seconds is added onto the timer, this prevents it from ageing the moment someone arrives as the timer expires or passes by, if they do just pass by and leave the timer ups to 30 again. if it succeeds then the timer starts at 1-2 minutes again before it can try another age check. and the 30 second buffer stops people from going in and out to cheese it, because it risks causing hunts. the idea I imagine is to try and get secondary objectoves completed and speed run the ghost before it becomes mostly dormant. if you have players who dally about then it makes it harder to achieve, not because it's dangerous at that point but because it's so inactive, of course speed running the objectives leaves you open to faster hunts and so that is the balance..
Hey Insym, i think what they mean with the 30 sec timer, is that it will ad 30 seconds ABOVE the 1-2 mins so for example, it tries to age after 1.5 min, it fails and then add 30 sec to that 1.5 min so it then it will be 2 min. And so it stacks
Easy way to see if is Moroi , if you play multiplayer on profesional or whatever but no nightmare , on of you will get cursed , you all check your sanity , and go inside the house in the same place and see if someone is loosing sanity faster than normal
Phasmo should add a ghost that duplicates in hunts to hunt 2 players at the same time. This might sound like twins but twins don't hunt players as TWO SEPARATE GHOSTS, this can add another unique 👻.
That would probably first have to be 1.) A multiplayer exclusive ghost but second the biggest issue with suggestions like these is that a lot of them try to be *too* unique to the point where they can be identified instantly by one single ability
@@Zeka_SCCC it is only a suggestion, like the thaye, it is fast in the beginning of the game, thus making it unique but in this case it is the developer job to make it unique or not. It just adds another ghost to the game.
@@greydoughnut8430 I think it would be better to further balance and buff the weaker of the existing ghosts and nerf the OP ones than to add more to the list. There comes a point where enough is enough in terms of quantity. Not that Im saying we're yet at that point, but I just would rather see KG take a breather from the new ghost types and adjust some of the existing ones that need it before going back to new
It would be cool of the moroi would decide hunting based on the cursed players sanity instead of team sanity Also the new ghosts should all be faster than revenant if they are a maximum speed Also give the Thaye longer phases so that it stays younger for a longer time
Also allow the Thaye to re-young itself faster. And/Or force the player to stay longer in its room to make it age or give it a increaced chance of roaming to get away from the risk of aging Out of context but give us back the old Shade that was active and dangerous if one player was alone with it Also it would be cool if the Thaye would stop intetacting completely when in Shade-Mode, incliding not giving evidence. So that you have to be quick to figure it out
I would have thought the timer would restart aka, Thaye will age every 1-2 minutes, and if it resets, it’d be 1 minute 30 seconds - 2 minute 30 seconds?
i'd like to take this moment to pat myself and all the other twitch chatters who had the same idea on the back for calling day 1 that the moroi wouldn't change speed if you took pills during a hunt if it used a snapshot of your sanity at the beginning rather than scaling dynamically. no one listened then and now we stand vindicated. :P

I like the Thaye's current ability for aging. You have to consider, it has to be fair to both new & experienced players
New players will most likely be playing on beginner/intermediate with the safety timer and on a small map. They'll probably be near the ghost/room aging the ghost not even know it. They'll probably like the Thaye more than experienced players!

honestly custom difficulty is gonna be a blast, i hope you can change how fast the ghost goes or how many events it can do in a certain time period
Doubt it, the speed determines what the ghost is and the number of ghost events have nothing to do with difficulty but I might be wrong.

@insym you have to remember that not all ghost hunters are up to your caliber, and while the Thaye's aging seems too easy for you, for less experienced ghost hunters, the timer seems much more balanced.
I hope the devs don't cater towards the more skillful players like Epic Games does.
15:15 So, if you stand next to a Thaye for around 1 minute (1st check), its hunt threshold will be..... nice
Wdym.
@@gort.4667 It'll be 75-6=69
Oh, that is a nice hunt, isn't it
It's probably why they picked 6 instead of rounding it to 5
Thaye's aging if i read it correctly is ...
But ... that also means, for big maps, ie, brownstone, if the players haven't found the ghost room in time, the hunts will be insane ... coz it doesn't age until a player is near the ghost room... geezzzz....
If you read the chat cj says ignor the near in the notes. So ot only ages in ghost room.
Exactly this. You have to be in the room with the ghost for it to age, and each age starts with the 1-2 min cooldown.
@@CaptainBobby24-7 thanks ... that makes Thaye a lot more scarier in big maps ... geez...
Was amazing to see you create your thumbnail on twitch, a little behind the scenes. Hope you have a great night out with your friends 🥰
Watched you on twitch and now rewatching here! Always here to support you!
Hey it's me! I was in this video!
I missed it during the stream, thanks for this!
Watching you make the thumbnail then seeing it on TH-cam hours later is so cool, cant wait to see what video is gonna get that skull
thanks for going into deep dive with these insym
That makes sense as to why it got through all the stages in around 6-7 minutes in that video you mentioned.
Gooood stuff! Thanks Insym!
So close to 500k subs! Dude, congratulations!
thank you for the video insym!!
Hello from the Twich live chat :D
hey it's me again, the thaye pronunciation guy. i did a bit more research and not only is thaye pronounced "thuh-yeh" instead of "they" or "thigh", deogen is pronounced the same as the dutch phrase "de ogen", which means "the eyes", because it IS the dutch phrase "de ogen", which means "the eyes". it's not "dio-jen", it's more like, "duh-oghn". it's a really minor bit of trivia and i'm sure that "they" and "dio-jen" are already permanently cemented in the community's minds as how those words are pronounced. but it is a fun bit of trivia nonetheless. flex your dutch-speaking skills on us insym!

Your intro gives me life Insym
my favorite ghosts are the fast ones because watching you deal with them makes me laugh every time because you get more scared and panicked lol
YAY, finally done processing
"Minimum speed of 0.4m/s if the nearest player is within 2.5m of you"
Are we the Deogens? *David Mitchell meme*
8:58 Onryo too!
no, every 2 minutes the ghost tries to age, if you are close, it will age, if u are too scared to bear near it, it will add 30 seconds to the 2 minutes it already waits, an so on. so if u stay away from the ghost it stays strong and if u avoid it the timer could get super high like 5-6 minutes to where it stays strong
so there is a constant timer running, and everytime you are next to it when the times hits zero it will age, if you are not near when it hits zero, it will add 30 seconds to the timer. So if the timer started at 2min, hits zero and you arent there, it will go to 2:30, it hits zero and u arent there, it will go to 3min
@@vinnyp4971 Are you positive about this? Has it been tested? And if so where can it be found
The Thaye aging I think is fine in it's current iteration so long as it's working as intended.
We had a theye on bleasdale, got early hunted and it was a baby ghost and the next hunt it had one of the woman ghosts
This is exciting :D finally able to get a new headset next month. I'm preparing myself for not lasting very long in the game 🤣 haven't played since end of march. It always makes me happy seeing your updates ❤
Love the streams and the Vids man ind I'm from the stream
Thank you for the upload!
Love the thumbnail
I love the Dogen, Mimic, and Twins because they all feel like troll ghosts.
I feel like the Deogen is the perfect ghost for new players to try out not hiding during hunts (not that they'd have a choice tho XD)
Kinda surprised they did not add the “Moroi always has spritbox on nightmare” info. Cj confirmed this is a feature.
Amazing video 😌
The timer constantly counts weather you are their or not however if it reaches 0 and you aren’t their it starts over it could very well age 1 second after you return
Hey it's me, I was in this video
I would love the Thaye to be changed to where the timer doesn't tick down at ALL when players aren't in the location, and the timer should reset to a minute if it doesn't successfully age.
I think the Thaye timer is the 1-2min start then if it fails it's 1:30- 2:30 until next try
Insym is live!! Join us
If the Thaye did not succeed to age, next timer will be 1-2 mins + 30 secs. Also, it's not that easy to estimate timing between 1-2 mins for players to try to age the ghost, you'll have to stay for a minute every 2 mins to be sure (also if it did not succeed you'll have to add 30 secs to that too). I think weakness is just fair to the ghost.
I had hoped that the Thaye would have a hidden ability with the oujia board, so it would say different ages over time
I think what they mean by the thaye adding 30 seconds is more like-- Every 1-2 minutes the Thaye will have a chance of aging, but if a player is not near it, the thaye will try to age again in 1-2 min + 30 seconds?
I feel like the ghost would be too OP if they made it so that it aged even if no players were around it
What a banger of a vid
Im sad that when it roamed to the car it was a bug, since the deogen is known to leave bloody handprints on the car.
ALSO should add a chance to roam to the car bedroom and leave prints on the back which will be red (like 0.1%)
Phasmophobia needs an official web site where all the official details of how the ghost should work (as detailed by the devs) can be explained in "spoiler text"
Imagine insta watching a video, possible with insym
I'm just gonna say that the crucifix should also have another use, which would be that if you're holding it in your hand and the ghost is hunting, if it gets to you, you can survive certain death, but the crucifix would be entirely consumed.
Thaye in Old Asylum where it’s room is at the end of either wings. Then, it hunts and you hear a ghost zooming towards you. Yikes.
I remember this!
ive got the deogen sprit box special ability once
Would be cool if the Thaye would age each Ghost Event/Hunt, so you could experience each age level in every mission
It would make the ghost too easy
im watching your stream at 16.02
hi love it xd watched it live
Custom difficulty checkbox: Baby Thaye- Thayes will never age
Hey Insym, i think what they mean with the 30 sec timer, is that it will ad 30 seconds ABOVE the 1-2 mins so for example, it tries to age after 1.5 min, it fails and then add 30 sec to that 1.5 min so it then it will be 2 min. And so it stacks
Easy way to see if is Moroi , if you play multiplayer on profesional or whatever but no nightmare , on of you will get cursed , you all check your sanity , and go inside the house in the same place and see if someone is loosing sanity faster than normal
Hello from stream 😎
Heck yea secrets patch notes!
Is Moroi the reason CJ was saying "Paramic is better than you think" because that can curse wou even without Spirit box
Can banshees still insta hunt? I remember you talking about it but I don’t remember how long it was since I heard it.
Wait, can it age during a hunt? If so that would mean Mimic could be a Thaye and early hunt, then turn into a Deo?
Holy hell, imagine the Mimic going from Thaye to Rev mid-hunt? Starting at the highest starting age, then *FORMULA 1*
Imagine Deogen->Rev during hunt
Came from twitch :)
Not that Im saying we're yet at that point, but I just would rather see KG take a breather from the new ghost types and adjust some of the existing ones that need it before going back to new
@@Zeka_SCCC I agree 👍
Here from twitch stream lol
It would be cool of the moroi would decide hunting based on the cursed players sanity instead of team sanity
Also the new ghosts should all be faster than revenant if they are a maximum speed
Also give the Thaye longer phases so that it stays younger for a longer time
Also allow the Thaye to re-young itself faster. And/Or force the player to stay longer in its room to make it age or give it a increaced chance of roaming to get away from the risk of aging
Out of context but give us back the old Shade that was active and dangerous if one player was alone with it
Also it would be cool if the Thaye would stop intetacting completely when in Shade-Mode, incliding not giving evidence. So that you have to be quick to figure it out
If I were a developer I'd just have to yell, "He's never happy." lol, I do agree with you though.
Come watch the stream people!
almost 500K :)))) :D
I would have thought the timer would restart aka, Thaye will age every 1-2 minutes, and if it resets, it’d be 1 minute 30 seconds - 2 minute 30 seconds?
Nice!
Hi I’m on this video with chat 💕
🔥🔥🔥
make your friend feel special today insym!
Deogen is so cool
i'd like to take this moment to pat myself and all the other twitch chatters who had the same idea on the back for calling day 1 that the moroi wouldn't change speed if you took pills during a hunt if it used a snapshot of your sanity at the beginning rather than scaling dynamically. no one listened then and now we stand vindicated. :P
